We got a limo and a bunch of us girls went together in it happy.gif It was fun. It's probably one of the last times you'll see your whole year/grade together as well. And you'll look nice for the pictures.. at the start wink.gif

One more year. happy.gif But, I probably won't do anything because most indian parents don't believe in having fun and dressing fancy, especially having a date..blah blah blah.... fallen.gif

QUOTE(allthatglitterss @ Apr 16 2005, 6:33 PM)
My friend used to live in Canada, and she said when she was graduating from 8th grade, all the girls treated the 8th grade graduation dance like Prom. They bought really expensive dresses, did their hair and nails, etc, and just for 8th grade..haha.
*

at my 8th grade prom some people went all out on dresses and nails and crap...i thought it was stupid, it's only 8th grade so i just wore a casual dress

the senior prom is a big deal because like, everyone is all grown up now, you get to see everyone all dressed up...when do you get to see everyone dressed up? it's like a big celebration with all your friends and whoever before you all go your separate ways...plus you can show off how much better you look than other people....but that's probably just how i think whistling.gif

Well, I'm only a junior, and I'm going to prom. But my senior friends are kinda making it a big deal. And I know that next year, I will too. But this year, since it's not really my prom, I guess I'll just see what happens.

no, prom's not a big deal at my school. it's kinda crappy and most juniors don't go. seniors go only because they have free tickets.

I'm not going to make a big deal about prom. In fact, I don't even feel like going anymore. It's strange, I was so excited at the beginning of the year.

"Yay! Prom is gonna be awesome!"

My thoughts on that have changed dramatically. I'll stil lgo, just so I don't regret it later.

Prom was yesterday night for us. ^_^
I didn't really make such a big deal out of it, not compared to a lot of the people at my school. I did get my hair done, and my boyfriend & some close friends went out to dinner at Outback.
Some people make a big deal out of it, some don't.

yeah, prom is next month for my sister and like 4 months ago, she had already started planning it and she did have a date at that time and she would CRY AND SOB about not having a date and talk about how ugly she was and all that stupid stuff. but now she has a date and she is like, "oh my gosh, my date had better have a limo. if he doesn't, i am going to be so pissed. and if he looks better than me, i am going to be mad." she is soooo completely stupid. it makes me mad. mad.gif

yeah, but i think it's understandable, prom is a high school legend and tradition, and since it costs a lot, they need it to be as perfect as it can be.
