i like uniforms and sometimes wish that my school had them. i'm sort of tired of figuring out what to wear in the morning and i can put that money towards an apple powerbook g4. or a drawing tablet for photoshop.

i think as a student/individual i would hate them, and in jr high u dont need to be an individual but as a person who isnt as rich as the people who are always best dressed and dont have enough money for new clothes for their kids and its hard on a family to try to match something someone else has especaily *sp* when they have little money for their family

im in middle school so it mite be different from you and my life is based on being an individual or something like that

My school has uniforms  I like them. No one can treat anybody badly for the way the dress.

I agree!! i am still in elementary school and stuff and we have uniforms everyone is so rude they are like " i hate these stupid uniforms i wish the princable didn't deside this" i'm like heyyyy we are really lucky b/c there are alot of ppl that can jugde u and make u cry just b/c the way u dress! i think it is cute.. u can punch in some accesories to match your uniform and make it look cute on u. i go to school wearing uniform duh lol (a skort and a blue t-shirt) and some wrist bands. with a head band in my hair and some vans on my feet. lol i think it looks actually nice. i got used to it since i had to deal with it for 7 years so far _unsure.gif all of those "rude" ppl in my school even started a petition of wearing non uniforms!! i'm like what the heck jeeze can't u wait till the end of school" b/c on the last two days of school we get to wear nonuniform! lol _smile.gif

i think school uniform can give students a sense of belonging to the school, and in most occupations uniform is needed for easy identification and unitedness...better to have one

im kind of in between them. At times i would think its better but then at times i would think that it would just b wrong.

if we did have uniforms for school; then no one would be making fun of anyone's way of dressing and i think less violence would go on. Having uniforms might even increase mny students grades because they wouldnt be so busy studying others way of dressing. Parents wouldnt have to spend so much money on clothes since they wouldonly need to buy two+ pairs of the uniforms for the kids to wear.

But then if we do have uniforms; we wouldnt have the freedom of choosing they way we would want to dress and all of our clothes that we had; it would go to waste. And some religions they have specific types of ways of dressing; some religions wouldnt allow someone to show their bodie parts but then somene uniforms would require to how legs and stuff.

I've had to go to a school with uniforms.
The teachers will still pick on ou about how you're wearing something. So wil te othr kids.
and really, it's no fun because you can't express your individuality.

And once again, if you can only express individuality and/or creativity through the clothes you wear, you're not very unique and creative in the first place.

Uniforms doesn't hinder individuality, they force you all to find novelties in self-expression.

When i was little, i hated uniforms. but i regret that now. I kinda wish my school had uniform. I pretty much dress in a 'uniform' everyday. pants/jeans. with collered shirt/polo.

and i agree. if the only way you show originality is by the clothes you wear, thats not very.. original?

yep. but I'm in a public school. I have never heard anyone, even parents, say that they wanted uniform. so i dont think thats gonna happen here. =P

My school has dress code and it doesn't bother me much, the dress code is pretty flexible.
Uniforms might be too uncomfortable, no dress code would make some people (especially girls) wear too exposed clothes, so dress code (it is like between uniforms and no dress code) would be the best.

Kate wears a uniform. This is a picture on my school's website of some kids (who have all graduated) in our uniform. We were them everyday unless we do something spectaclar, then we don't have to wear them. I guess they're ok, not horribly uncomfortable, however as you can see by this picture, it's a campus. It gets COLD and the school jackets only help but so much

so, i'm anti-uniform.
