mhm, wow i'm sorry that happened. You must be in a sort of shock right now :( I would say that you got dumped, BUT with almost a guarentee that you will get together again. i dunno, i guess you could say it is a break. But don't dwell on that thought for too long, you should try talking to him and asking him about this. That's the best you can do.

"then we can start up again sometime later", that sentence says alot. It means that he still cares for you. BUt he needs time on his own, away fromt he relationships. SOmehow being in this relatinship has gotten him depressed, or should i say, away from god. I guess hes tired of the relationshp. I dont think that you are being dumped, hes just asking for time out.....but since he cared for you, hell prob get back, but if his decision was to not be in a realtionship anymore, and he lets you know, then thats considered a dump.

thnk you all for the very encouraging words. i talked to him tonight for about three hours... and we are the best of friends until we have ourselves settled and figured out. then after we are completely stable and he can support me we are going to get back together if we're all worked out. i'm relieved and sad. but it's a huge load off my chest.. cause i felt like we were slipping.. and now we just make a clean cut and there's no hurt feelings... too bad ^^

Well, he didn't say anything about seeing other people or it being an official breakup, so...
Looks like you're just on a break for now. Wait a bit, give him a little time to get his head together. If he doesn't show a little affection or anything, lose him.
