NO. You shouldn't be weirded out. That's just wrong.
I don't have gay friends but I think it would be cool to.
Like "Will & Grace", I love how their friendship is. I wish I had one like that.

QUOTE(JC4P @ Apr 14 2005, 2:26 PM)
i have no clue wtf you said. I'm bi becuase i like dudes and i like chicks. Wtf does being gay have to do with being bi? its notr like a gayness evolution. Do you Dislike me becuz i'm bi? then your just like surfhottie...
*

lol.. yeah i Dislike you because you are bi and because you have no clue wtf i said.
maybe i am just like surfhottie..

being bi has something to do with being gay, stupid.

i just made a comment that a homosexual teacher in my school told me that he was straight at first, then bi, then he finally admitted that he was gay. he said that people who are bi are just "confused"

she's not saying that there's anything wrong with gay people; just that she feels uncomfortable around them, which is normal, since she hasn't met any before.

I'm not gonna bust on you for being homophobic, but your a girl and he's gay why would you be worried, he's still human, he just likes guys, and there's nothing wrong with that, gays are people too, and should treated and respected just like everyone else. I have a best friend thats lesbian, a bi friend, and many gay friends, and they can be some of the nicest coolest people you can ever meet. More people have to open their minds and their hearts to gays and people of different races, no wonder the world is so messed up, and no I'm not gay, but if I was I would be open about it and if you didn't like it, your not worth it in the first place.

I know many gays and lesbians at my school and it doesn't scare me..as long as they don't do cat calls or anything (lesbians), then I'm fine with it. The majority of them are nice..and don't worry. They won't have a crush on you. (not to imply anything mean), but Jake likes Andrew at my school and there are just so many other gay guys, but hey..they both stick to one. :]

Lmao. laugh.gif

I don't think you should be weirded out. But seriously, you don't even know the guy and you're already making judgements about him. How do you know he's gay? From RUMORS? From the way he dresses? From his pink shirts?
Meet the guy and decide for yourself whether you should be weirded out or not.

okay. i guess i'll be the only person here defending surfhottie.

He asked if he should be afraid not knowing any better. Most of you guys jump on him like a gang bang b/c he's not as well informed. You ever think about just saying to him.. hey.. there's nothing to be afraid of.
Does the guy want you? Maybe then you might be a lil scared cuz you aren't gay. No reason to be omg i hate you b/c you are not open minded.
You can't expect someone to be aware of everything. Like he said his parents didn't teach him any better. So tell him there's nothing to be afraid of and that's all that was needed to be said. There are LOTS of people who grow up never seeing gays or minorities. Not knowing what can be considered a racist term or impolite. Didn't you guys watch the real world new orleans cast where julie learned about the N word from her friends cuz she didn't know any better? they didn't beat her up.

Just tell me why are you offended about him asking if he should be afraid?

I don't understand the reason behind being offended because he made a topic to seek knowledge and you guys cram your fists down his throat instead of trying to help.

why are do you feel so weird about it? I mean it's not like he's an alien or something. He's a human being too, who just happens to have different tastes and beliefs than you do.

maybe the reason why you feel 'weirded out' is because you have never met one. trust me, there are people around here that has never seen a black person before and they get weirded out. there is NO problem with being gay, thats just like asking a straight person- why are you straight? why do you like the opposite sex? everyone is a somebody and that needs to be understood.

get to know the guy, i'm sure you'll find him to be a sweet and nice person. i personally have three gay guy friends and they are freakin' awesome! (:

#1 this is an extremely worthless and offensive post that has obviousely pissed off 99.9% of the people on cb
#2 I doupt there's only ONE gay guy at your entire school, it's not uncommon at all -__-
#3 he's just a guy who's gay. guy=person, a person like any other who deserves respect
#4 if it dose wierd you out don't make a big deal about it. you don't have to be friends with him but don't be mean or rude in any way and don't ignor him and act like he's a freak if you happen do bump into him or become partners for a school project or somthing.
