hey guys! just curious..were you or do you know anyone who was adopted?? Do you or have your friends ever wanted to meet their biological parents??

I was adopted since before I was born, so the family I have now is the only family I have known. When I was 13-16 I was really curious about my biological parents and my mom always told me "when I was 18" I could ask and she would give me all the information I wanted, but after I turned sixteen i didnt really want to know about it, but at the same time it could just be a phase..so yeah..just wondering..

I have 2 friends who are adopted. One hates her mother for giving her up, and never wants to see her, but the other one has met her dad, but not her mom.

Wow, I had no idea you were adopted..
I don't know anyone adopted and I'm not adopted myself, but I know a girl whose parents died like 2 months ago and she lives with foster parents.

One of the reasons why I wouldn't want to adopt. I wouldn't want my kid to ask who their biological parents are and why they were put for adoption.

Anyways, I know this girl who was adopted. I think.

it's not really a phase, everyone would like to know who their parents are and the whole story. you have a right to know since those people you want to know about are your own flesh and blood, it's nice that you're adoptive parents respect that happy.gif

sometimes...i hope i was adopted... _dry.gif

I think that if I was adopted and found out like today, I would be one pissed off little kid.

My little sister is adopted. But not in the same way that you are talking about.

Shes my cousins, and my cousin was only 14 when she had her 1st child, and Gabrielle, who is her 2nd she had when she was 16. Well, she wasnt' taking care of her correctly, so, my mom adopted her. Shes like almost mine. As I type now shes on my lap. She calls me mom too! We've had her since she was 2mos old. She'll be 3 in June

To answer your question, no. I'm not adopted. I do want to adopt kids when I grow older, though.

Well my Step Dad adopted me when i was about a year old...

i still have the same mom... my biological dad visits me and stuff... he has his own family and my mom and step dad still talks to him....

so basically his like an uncle...

You're adopted? mellow.gif

I don't think I'm adopted. I don't think I know anyone that's adopted. I would kill myself if I never knew one of my real parents.

no i wasnt adopted, and none of my friends were. but well think of it this way its better to be adopted than be in a fostekid. because i did know a girl who is a foster child, but she ran away, cuz she wanted to find her birth mother. as long as you have parents that love you that is all that should matter, whether they are biological or not.

yeah..thats pretty much how i feel about it..i mean..i absolutely LOVE the family I am with right now and like I said before..they are the only family i have ever known..they are the ones who have always been there for me and they are the ones who have helped me through everything and watched me grow up..its weird tho cos i always think about what if i wasnt adopted by this family..what if i was adopted by a family in like...kansas or something..would i still have this hairstyle?? would i have gotten my license at age 16 instead of 18..etc..i always think about stuff like that haha

yeah..there are tons of different types of adoptions tho..i was given up for adoption because my biological parents..well..at least my biological mother..was too young to take care of me..its weird to think about it though because i was SOOOOOO close to being aborted..but at the time my grandmother was a nurse and she tried to convince couples to keep their children and then give them up for adoption and luckily she convinced my biological parents to go through with it _smile.gif
