QUOTE(sadolakced acid @ Mar 24 2005, 12:47 AM) suffice it to say the book which has cause the reader the most stress due to the undue verbose-ness of the syntax is simply great expectations by the author charles dickens, in which there are entire paragraphs that merely consist of simply a single sentence as both the opening, the body, and the conclusion of that paragraph. BLEH. I despise that book with a passion. |

Yeah..lol Julius Caesar omg.
"Et tu Brute?" I mean CMON..expected a long dramatic monologue where he curses Rome and asks God what he did wrong and that he loved Brutus so much and all he wanted to do was become a king and help Rome but instead he's dying and.. :sighs: It was really boring. |

QUOTE(smilz2dasun @ Mar 23 2005, 2:15 AM) OMG I hate that book! I've read it independently for 7th grade, but we're getting ready to read it as a class in the next few weeks. I dread it. But so far I really hated this book in sixth grade.. I can't remember the little. It had a french author and it was about a boy who went to different planets or something. We watched the movie too. Man I hated that book |

Definitely Heart of Darkness. That book is truly the most boring book I have ever read in my entire life. It put me to sleep many times, and I usually enjoy most of the books I read.

Romeo & Juliet.
I have already watched the video 2 times. Read so many "modified" short versions of it. And heard the story a million times. Let's move on, shall we? |

QUOTE(islandgirl4eva @ Mar 22 2005, 11:41 PM) I wasn't able to find another topic like this, but if there is one, please feel free to close this. What was the story you most hated reading in school. At this point and time, for me, it's FRANKENSTEIN! Blah...give me the damn video and call it a day! Frankenstein is that bad, really?!?!?!?!?!?! I did Frankenstein last year for my core text and thought it was alrite, quite interesting. I'm required to read Brave New World for my text for the next module in English! I read it was kinda boring.............. ![]() |
