I don't like calling myself a vegetarian - not sure why.
I haven't eaten meat in months though, I can't remember why I did it origionally, I think I wanted to try it out and see if I could do it and I just never stopped. When peopel offer me a meat dish I say "No thanks, I'm not eating meat" becuase if I said "I don't eat meat" then when I was in an eat-cow-or-starve situation I wouldn't be able to eat it. Or my mind is just screwed

I don't like the idea of eating animals, or the way they're bred then often inhumanly killed so they can be served up to me on a plate pinch.gif

Eh...I detest vegetables. I'm more of a junk food person. I know, it's horrible for you, but...oh well. I'll change my ways when I get older most likely.

Have fun while your young, when your older thats when you have to worry about it pinch.gif

And to answer the question.

I've thought about it, but I dont know, giving up meat would be hard..

I am, because of the slaughtering of animals, and because it's the way I was raised. My daughter isn't exactly vegetarian, but it would be cool if she was. The only meat she really eats is chicken nuggets, so it's cool

I am lactose intolerant (so i got use to eating soy stuff) and i don't like meat (just because of the taste), but i wasn't about to become a vegan.... So I force myself to eat meat, not because i hate animals, but because i hate plants..lol

No. There is really no reason to become a vegetarian. The animals are STILL going to die if you don't eat them.Meats are part of our dialy diet and we do need to consume meats. So honestly, I really don't see why people want to become vegetarians.

Kay. Firstly there are many reasons to become a vegetarian.

1 - Religious reasons, if you think God exists and made the earth animals and people and we're supposed to be stewards of the earth or what vere you may feel you should respect the animals by not having someone skin them and then process then into a breadcrumbbed chunk for you when you can eat the beans and stuff he created for you. {{I'm not religious, it's just a reason why someone could be a veggie}}

2 - Moral and Ethical reasons, do you really think it's right to destroy a life and eats it's body. If you don't like war/murderers then don't be a hypocrite. Also, maybe you dont' like the cruel way in which they're often killed (not always but way to often)

3 - Health reasons, I'm not sure if there is a name for it but some peopel just can't eat meat.

"The animals are still going to die anyway"
Yes, but naturally after a long, happy life, not after ashort while after a caged life and painfull death

We don't NEED meat, we can live fine without it. I don't eat it and I'm fine, millions of other vegetarians and vegans dont' eat meat tand they're all hunky-dory. I read somewhere that if you dont' eat meat for 20 years you'll live an average of 3 years longer than if you ate meat.

I became a vegetarian about a year ago because I am against slaughtering living things just so people who don't need meat anyway can eat them. Here are some good reasons to become one: here

I would be if I could give up chicken.

or if a whole lot of other people did, so i thought it would actually matter if I quit eating meat.
