using custom module, BUT keeping subscriptions module

is there a way to do it?

(( -> i used the custom module code from createblog ))

oh and 1 more thing:

is there a way to use the custom module while still keeping the subscriptions module AND the blogring module?

any help is greatly appreciated. thanks!
