I do that whenever I go off base, I keep checking my wallet if I have my id with me because I freak out about it if I don't have my id, they won't let me go back onto the base.

I don't know if I have OCD, but... I can't go anywhere without a watch or anything that shows the time and I look at my watch so frequently; like sometimes I look at it even I have just looked at it a few seconds ago. blink.gif

i have it now at least slighty, but not in the sterotypical way. last year i used to wander our house for hours checking the locks, making sure the water was off, everything was in the right place, etc. it's really scary... from about 11pm-1am i would do that. it would take me an hour to do simple math homework because i kept erasing until everything looked right. i had to remember the punch line in all the comics in the newspaper that. i had to be able to list all the homework for the night off the top of my head. i would obsess over things like that. and if i couldn't do any of that, i would stay up nearly all night. it got especially bad during the summer when i started going outside to "organize" things in the way i wanted at night. i would come back in drenched in sweat and nearly out of breath, almost in tears because i hated that i had to do this, but i seriously could not control it and would not fall asleep unless i did this. i tried to talk to my mom about it, but she didn't get it because this all happened when everyone else was asleep. she said she would set up an appointment with a children's physcologist, but never did. this year it started to really effect me, so i just decided i had to stop. i still get these urges that i HAVE to go check these things and such, but i can pretty much contain them now.

if you guys want to see if you're obsessive compulsive, you can take this quiz: http://www.ocfoundation.org/ocf1070a.htm
i don't know if it "scores" you anymore (scale 1-20) but at my worst i believe i was around 13.
