Footer and navigation bar thing Options

ok, do you know the code to remove the footer? and the code to make your own thingy at the top w/ like sign out, log in, & that stuff.. & if there's that code, how do you remove the orginal nav bar [i think that's what it's called?] or is there just a code to edit it or something? thanks :-D

i'm not sure but i think it removes top links too?
