I'm sorry, you should go out and try to meet people first. I mean, people met and fell in love before there was internet, and people can do it today without it. I just htink its for lazy people who never want to leave the damn house.

In many cases that's completely true. BUT there is some cases where it is not, me for example. I infact have a life, it just so happens that life is basically on a computer (programmer2win), and most of my time is spent on the computer doing things for work/school. You should try not being so ignorant.

Ick, How can you see it as desperate? It's only desperate if you go on online dating sites looking for a partner.

Sometimes you just have a friend online and you get to know each other and you know they're real (Webcam rolleyes.gif ) and after awhile you end up getting feelings for them. It's not that persons fault because they weren't looking for someone to have these feelings for. It just happens sometimes. And whats the point of holding back these feelings just because they're online. You can progress your relationship and end up meeting and actually have a 'normal' relationship with them. It's becoming less and less rare now. So might as well get used to it.

my first reply would be no because of course there are people that pretend to be people that are not but my speech teacher met her current husband through the internet and they are happily married. happy.gif
i would probably never do it, though. ermm.gif

No, definitely not. I don't think there can really be a satisfying relationship if there is no physical contact...and that doesn't have to mean in a sexual way.

almost everyone lies about themselves on the internet, or try to make themselves better then they r, so i would say no.....how can u start a relationship, which is primarily made up of trust, with a lie?

it depends if you've met the person or not.
if you have then i guess it's fine, but you'll need alot of trust
if you haven't than it's really up to you. you could run the risk of having someone bad

Sure why not, if it works for those people then why not. Why put them down? I just hope they make some smart decisions in that relationship.

Well, no. However there are quite a few cases where I might find it as an exception. For example, homosexual couples. I think it'd be pretty darn hard to find someone if you were, and trying to attempt to might have gotten you hit hard. For example, there really isn't any real way to be sure if someone is or is not homosexual, and asking when they're not may be extremely rude. Online dating may is possibility for people like that to make sure what they aren't and are shooting for, so hey, why not? However, I do think that people should find love on their own, without the clutter of wires or plugs.
