putting gel/mousse or whatever .., in your hair ... Options

aight .. well .. whenever i spike my hair .. at tha end of tha day .. there's white stuff in my hair .. and it's all "flaky" .. but it's NOT dandruff .. cause i take a shower EVERYDAY .. so it can't be possible .. it's been bugging me for awhile .. .. so any feedbackk ?? .. as in .. what good brands of gel/mousse to use .. or use something else .. or mix it with water .. or what .. .. thanks for any help ..

well i use american crew it works for me and if you dont want to have the whtie stuff in your hair jsut dont like mess up your hair like dont have nebody touching and stuff

Yeah, I think gel makes you have white things in your hair. So don't let anyone like, touch it or anything...
Or if you're real tall, no one notices

i like to spike my hair but i just hate to take a show rite after i get home of school. If i don't gel get dry the have white flank.

If you run water through your hair or whatever when it starts to do that... And spike it again it will get rid of the white flakes and will look like when you did it in the morning...

first of all, just because you wash your hair everyday, doesn't mean that you don't have dandruff. i washed my hair everyday but i had a dry sculp and i had to get dandruff shampoo.

and the reason why you have that is because it is either dandruff or the gel has dried up and flakes off. i use a brand called GOT 2B. it work really well.

oh, and another thing that might help is putting the gel on your hair while your hair is still damp.

You should switch GELS, everyone i know uses LA Bella, it's known to never flake and comes with a lot. The white stuff i know is when the gel starts to dry in your hair in chunks or something, but it usually only happens if you mess with your hair.

So, switch gels use LA bella, you can find it at target, walmart, hell 99 cent store has it ;p

It has to do with the brand of mousse/gel/hairspray. Try using.. a... better one?

its gel flakes when the gel cracks and stuff. you should use hairspray or wax.

i hate using gel cuz my hair just feels gross- i wash my hair and then dry it a little and then spray it and it comes out nice cuz it has the same effect of gel without like the greasy flaky result

It's called flakes.. When the gel dries, that's what appears.. It's natural. Try some alcohal free gel.

i use that too, and it works well. i use the gel from that brand, GOT 2B Glued, it's in a yellow tube. maybe try that.

yah...gel will dry up and get flaky. i use american crew's pomade. that stuff doesnt ever flake at all
