.. i was talking to my mom today and she was telling me about this cream she was thinking about getting. she said it's this moisterizing (sp?) cream that gradually adds a tan to your skin. i thought it was a good idea & then i started thinking about getting one for myself because my skin is always so .. white in the winter & i like having a tan. i'm not the type of person that goes to tanning salons and all.. i like getting my tan from the sun & the sun only. has anyone ever tried it?.. is it bad for your skin?.. does it give you a fake tan look?

this may be a stupid topic.. but i thought i would bring it up and see everyone elses opinion of it. pinch.gif

Don't try it. Trust me, even if it says that it'll leave no streaks, it probably will. I've learned from experience. Everytime I've put on some tanning cream, it left streaks and my skin looked orangy.

yeah, i was trying to avoid the orangey & fake look. but it's not like the tanning cream.. it's like moisterizing that gradually adds a tan. (not like right away or over night) i need something that gets rid of my soccer shin-guard tan!? huh.gif i think the kind my mom was talking about started with a J.. can't think of it off the top of my head nor can i remember it.. pinch.gif ahh..

^ Ohh...I've never seen one that gradually adds a tan, but you should try it on and see how it looks.

i probably wouldn't, i like a natural tan, and i'm not really for an "orange streak" look.
it's warming up these days, (spring), why don't you just take a nice walk or jog around the neighborhood or something?

You do not want to look like a orange right lol, just test it on a patch of skin that know one else can see so if you go orange not everyone can laugh at you. My friend had a very orange tan before it was hilarious, i have a natural tan as my mum is Thai and i'm pretty tanned anyway.

all lotions and creams i've heard of make your skin orange...it's sick looking at girls that are orange..sorry personal opinion. we all get lighter in the winter...i like having a tan too, but it's not worth looking orange over. (personal opinion again)

I've never tried that.

and tanning in the sun gives you skin cancer, bad girl mad.gif tanning in salons ALSO gives you skin cancer but ti's like the same thing...tanning is jsut as bad as burning, remember that

Iv'e never tanned in my life, only burned my forehead once when I forgot to put on suncreen _unsure.gif
