But NOTHING works for me! cry.gif That stinkin' layer of fat over my abs just wont dieee!! I even tried eating healthier. _unsure.gif

1. eat healthier
2. excersice (sit-ups, crunches, running, reverse crunches)
3. eat only when you're hungry and stop when you're full

sit-ups and reverse crunches really help

dude i wouldn't do sit ups i did like 1500 a day and it did nothing what i do is this thing where you put one of your legs on a ledge that is a little lower than waist high and bend down like you're trying to touch your toes of the leg that's on the ground (or if you can touch your toes, then do that, i do that) then lift yourself up and twist to the side your leg on the ledge is on. do that like 50-100 times on each side i saw great results. btw, try sucking in everytime you do an exercise, any, cuz that helps a lot

Don't starve yourself! You want to get rid of a bulge....not die. You can do situps/crunches until your stomach starts to burn a little bit. (feel the burn laugh.gif ) And that tells you whenit's actually starting to do something. Ride a bike, walk/run. lots of stuff.

if you look in magazines like seventeen or something, they usually have like an 'healthy eating' section or a few pages which teach you how to get your body toned...esp for the summer
good luck!

I'm sorry ladies, but crunces dont flatten your stomach. They strnghthen ur muscules. U have to burn fat to loose ur fat on ur tummy. Brunches will just push the fat father out. Take in less calories and add an aerobic exercise to ur lifestyle. Try walking for 30 minutes everyday. Eats more fruit and veggies. dont eat junk food. Thats the only way to lose belly fat. Take it from a perso who knows. I lost 30 pounds that way. My tummy didnt get any flatter and I did 150 crunches a nite. aerobic exercise and lower caloric intake is the only way to lose fat.

^ Nods, aerobics is the way to go and the classes are fun to take with friends. Though it's also a good thing to do crunches. Your abs help your back to hold up your body... you'll find that you're saving yourselves from back pain in the future.

Well, I have a really bad back, so instead of doing sit ups I sit up striaght and when I am watching TV or reading or something that makes me relaxed I constrict my stomach muscles. Every five seconds counts as 1 sit up. Five minutes=60 sit ups. So, you can get about 30 done during a commercial break!

Yeah I have a bad back too. All that does is strengthen the muscules, so if you do have a weak midsection its great, but u still wont lose belly fat.

yeah i know imma guy...in the girls locker room....get over it....
I've been working out for about 3 years now....it takes time your not gonna see results in one day....do a series of half way lifting sit ups to work your lower abs to define them. then make your elbows go toward your opposite knees in a pattern regular sit up, left leaning sit up ,right leaning sit up...regular, left, right..do this about 50-150 times..(This depends if your a beginner you should gradually work your way into more). Then do the full lifting sit up. regular, left, right...regular, left, right, in the same manner..to work on the upper abs..(50-150). after about a  month - 3 months you'll see some nice results....trust me. if your only gonna work out one day...don't even bother.

Hint: Make a schedule M- W- F- Sunday... give your muscles a chance to heal the day after the workout. without the proper healing you won't get any results. But you will gain strength. for definition on your stomach you MUST LET YOUR MUSCLES HEAL.
well need any more tips let me know...
later

i don't know express it in english.. maybe someone can help translate for me. tongue.gif

1. Do not skip meals, you'll GAIN.
2. Eat healthy-er. [Walk around while you eat.]
3. Exercise, and not just sit-ups/crunches. You need to tone everything first. [Hard work, gotta gain muscles first, then you gradually lose weight... slowly.]
Tip - When you do sit-ups/crunches, remember to breathe regularly and hold the crunch in the up position for about 3 seconds. Do not forget to do the obliques.
4. Keep an exercise schedule and stick to it.

Tsk, tsk... those magazines has ruin society's women.
