my cuzin just got this new pink shirt that says "everyone loves a southern girl" and i asked her "you are actually proud to be southern?" and she said "well i don't have much of a choice" and i said "well i hate it. i am quite ashamed to be one." i have lived in florida my whole life and i hate it! all the stupid palms trees should die! and the beach can go w/ them. i hate being southern! i do not have an accent though thank god. are you proud to be southern if you are?

Am... I think u should be proud of where ever you are from... unless u are from Belfast! Joking. I'm proud of it. It means I hav a cool accent!

Anyway I don't know what Southeners are.... but be proud anyway!

Im from belgium and sometimes i say i hate belgium bla bla but i love my country not a lot but im proud to be a belgian. too bad for u though.

I'm proud to be a southern girl. and not everyone in the south has palm trees and beaches. I wish I did!! _dry.gif I have cows. Well I don't. but there are cows. LOTS of cows

um, no, not necessarily.

where i live its not particularly bad. its the nice, upeer-middle class suburbia, so its not redneck, and we dont have accents (coughsammi). however, i do not particularly enjoy being from the south because it is automatically associated with these things.

oh! now i understand why my school made "everyone loves a norcross girl/boy" shirts for a fundraiser.

(note: i myself did NOT buy one of these as with the 07 on the back they were one of the most hideous things ever imo, i have no school spirit, and i completely disagree with the message seeing as i hate most norcross girls)

I'm from the south and i LOVE it...im PROUD to be a Texan! I'm from the Land-O-Sugar and we Swee-to the-T (Sweet) lol...

Anyway, why are you so ashamed of your homestate? Is it because people make Florida?(dumb jokes) If that is the reason, you have nothing to be ashamed of...I mean come on, I don't think any state has a worse wrap than Texas...
