People can't stop creating problems for themselves. Back then it was only the complicated stuff like wether the season brought good harvest. Today, we even have problems with sleep - which was the easiest thing to do and eating - which also was the easiest thing to do. We have too many problems. Don't you think?

maybe. i don't really mind problems, cause I'm a drama queen and i love conflict. and usually problems have opposing views. but if i had to farm all the time, I would probably die, so i would much rather have aim than a tractor like they did then. except they didnt have tractors. lol

But honestly though ... there was always problems with everything before .. but we always find fault in everything. Well our way of living anyway. I think there was tribe that got away with the tsunami because they were so in touch with nature. This was in 60 minutes.

I kind of like technology. If I had no cell phone, I would be sad. And if I had to live as if I were on Little House on the Prairie, I think I would cry. So yeah. But I can see your point. The whole nuclear warfare thing wouldn't even be a problem, and other stuff like hat

I agree technology creates more problems than it benefits our lives.
Also I think throughout so many centuries, we are getting more knowledgable and thus we have more problems.

People just have gotten lazier and lazier by the day.

They've also become inconsiderate about their health.

They would think more to their precious computer gadgets and what not rather to their own health.

I think this is way over 50% of American adults are overweight.

That's because you know of the existence of cell phones.
If you didn't know there were such devices as "cell phones", you wouldn't be sad.

I know what you mean.. it seems like the simplicity of life has been taken away by technological advances. I think it also has to do with how people are these days.. never satisfied.. I mean think about it, as you said the easiest thing out there was eating and sleeping. There's people that abuse the habit of eating to extremes. And who actually gets the required amount of sleep these days? not as many people as it used to be, that's for sure.

that's true. if technology had never been introduced to us, we would probably be just as happy, and not miss anything. so that would be better, since we would have a lot less problems. but in some days technology is good, like in medicine and health stuff. It keeps people from suffering, which I htink is a good thing

well if there were no problems, what would we do in life?
some peoples' jobs are to fix others' problems
and plus
no problems = nothing to do = boredom
we dont want life to be boring now, do we?

as long as there are solutions, there will always be problems

just as some people said, people are lazy, if you make something simple, people are going to want it to be simpler

like cooling yourself off, people used to hang out under a tree for shade, then people got leaves or something to fan themselves, then the fan was created with the high, medium, low, off functions, that didn't satisfy the people enough so they made an air conditioner, but no, you have to walk to it to use it so now it has a remote...just watch, they're going to make a clap on clap off air conditioner and after that, god knows what wacko.gif

**i don't know if this is the exact sequence but you get the idea

Well, I think because we have more stess in our lives, that it causes more problems. That is what led to insomnia, and eating disorders from our view of the "perfect body" so, I do think we create a lot more problems that what we really have, but stress is also a major part of that

yeah i agree, i mean even in the news they talk about the most stupid things that scientist have found out. "Pigs can lower blood pressure" or something stupid like that. Technology is also a major cause of having problems...gosh i miss the days when i use to actually write letters to my relatives.

I read an article about the society improving a lot over the decades, but we have not gotten any happier over the years. Most of it has to do with competition over others and society. If you want to be rich and have a say around, you must compete. It's like "false pleasure."
