was he like this before? hmm don't force him or anything but if he really cared he'd tell you(i think), if he really cared then he's stupid for being all "i'm not telling you" when he really wants to.. i hate that. if he's like that then save the trouble and worry and just leave him be.

Maybe he does understand you. Maybe it's just he's afraid of disappointing you or upsetting you more? Maybe he isn't ready for a real commitment? Maybe he's uncomfortable with you??? I say remain persistant. If he won't tell you, then don't force him. He'll be open once he knows he can talk to you.
