QUOTE(auroradude @ Mar 28 2005, 9:06 AM) I know somebody who was killed in a Civic si. dont give me that garbage. Accord's leather is "fake" leather. Haha. Or i assume you probably dont know cause you have never sat in "real" leatehr before. sigh. but Anyway thats nice you would do 21k to a civic...real nice. More power to get yourself wrapped around a pole with.' And no i am not making the shit up, its all true. Here is a full list of specs, from my Aurora Owners brochure that was in the glove compartment when i got it. ok numb nutz, you see one effer get killed in a civic si and you automatically assume honda's are death traps. WOW, great logic there. American cars are overpriced and crap, enough said. Real leather, oh wow, just somethign to burn your ass on a hot day anyways. My sister owns a 99 GSR, that has full leather for your information jerk off. Here are some stats from the NHTSA, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. for the honda civic the civic got 4 stars all the way from 96++and improves every year to a 5 in 2000 for driver's side impacts the aurora however 95-99 got only 3 stars. for driver's side impacts..and only improves to 4 stars in the 2000 models SEE IT YOURSELF http://www.safercar.gov/ put in your model car and you'll see yuor shit isnt as safe as a "death trap honda"it's worse OWNED |

That doesnt apply. That is based on class. 4 stars for a honda for a smal cars clas...yes...
you are comparing apples to oranges my car is very safe. you just look at the huge area of metal in front of you when your sitting in the front seat. also it has a ton of steel underneath both bumpers. I had both bumpers off when getting it painted, and its all steel underneath. The bumpers in these cars arent even crushed on impact, and that is why. |

My car will hold up better at a 55mph crash then a civic would, guarantee it
This aurora was hit at 30mph in a rear end crash by another car, then hit from a different car on the side at 15mph.. Do you see any horrible damage?????????? ![]() ![]() Theres your STEEL bumper......the other mofo hit this guy so bad that his license plate was imprinted. try THAT with a honda civic. |

Hondas don't suck, KIAs do. But if the title of this thread were to be renamed, "KIAs Suck," there would be no argument.

heres another one where an accord hits a different Aurora at 15-20mph and the aurora sustained 0 damage. only thing is there is an unnoticeable imprint of a license plate screw. freakin idiot ikayto

and that is why the aurora is unsafe.
it has no crumple zone. cars are suppost to crumple when hitting others, it's not a law, but it should be. you hit a jack-knifed truck on a wet highway going 70 in an aurora, you're dead. less damage to the car doesn't equate less damage to the person. i don't see much damage to the honda anyways: hood crumpled, grill smushed... |

the aurora is unibody constructed, and it does have many crumple zones. i have the press kit but i am not goign to scan that shit on here just to prove a simple point that a BIGGer car is a SAFER car. thats sense anyone should be able to make out, but isnt always the case

I don't think Honda's suck. My father bought a 93' Prelude in 95. Now I own it. There has been no major problems from since my father bought the car. My older brother bought a mustang and it broke down on him in a matter of 3 years. He sold the mustang and bought a Civic instead. So far no problems. My neighbors own a focus and a durango. The focus kept having tranny problems and i don't know whats happening to the durango but they no longer want to keep it because of all the repairs. They instead traded it in for a CRV.
Here are pictures of my prelude. ![]() ![]() 93 Honda Prelude h23 turbo. I love it. Lets look at stats. http://www.epa.gov/greenvehicles/E-HONDA-Civic-03.htm http://www.epa.gov/autoemissions/E-OLDSMOBILE-Aurora-02.htm And the winner is...? Cmon say it. |

reason honda is expensive. less depreciation. good quality. long lasting. good fuel economy. very economical.
domestics came out being big steel gas guzzling machines that just rusted out. but nowadays new domestics have gained knowlede from the japanese market. domestic cars are kinda similar to them now. I used to own a turboed civic. I didnt like it much but it was a reliable fun car to drive. I like some domestic cars but their depreciation value is really bad. I cant sell it back for much when I want a different car. |

I would never sell a mustang and get a Civic. That is a step down I only take step UPs. He must have had a V6 Mustang and never changed the oil or some shit, because it doesnt just *break down* unless it was previously beaten or your lack of maintenance.
If he had a V8 stang and went to a civic he shouldnt have had a Mustang then cause thats a moronic move. |

hondas = good economy.. cheap to replace things.. and if you got the right taste in looks. you can get chicks. in an aurora v8.. the last time i seen a guy driving that he was 50 somethin. do you pick up chicks in that aurora? steel bumpers.. as said. impact isn't always supposed to be solid. your basically driving a tank (as well as i am since my car weighs 3800lbs) but why try to back up an aurora? i mean. if you had a stang or a camaro or somethin then i'd understand. but your the first i've ever seen trying to keep battling for the ups of your aurora.

Im battlign the ups cause i like my aurora. i take pride in it. i purchased it, on my own (unlike some ppl, who are spoiled and have their parents get them cars, but end up wrecking them...) spent $3000 painting it, $4000 in repairs the first week, installing a $700 body kit...$500 in audio, you get the idea. I love my car, it is big and safe, it looks great (at least in my opinion), the V8 motor sounds SOOOO nice when let it roar to 4500rpm (that Vrooom VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM is simply irrersistable) and it has a TON of nice luxury features.
Oh and btw i can pick up girls in my car now that the body kit is fitted and i got complete new OEM carpeting and all the other nice stuff. I was going to get a Mustang GT convertible. That is what i always wanted. But the insurance for me was goign to be $2400 for 6 months with collision, and for my car its only $1100 for 6 months with collision, you just cant beat that. Plus i get a lot of discounts since im driving a class © automobile, which on the insurance rating A is the most money (highest accident rate, sports car) , B is medium and C is the best rate, based on accident data. There arent that many Auroras that are smashed all the time, compared to a Mustang, Camaro etc. Enough for now. im going to go workout |

so what do you do for a living aurora? show me some chicks that you pick you in your aurora. it's hard to believe. i've never heard/seen anychick mention anything about an aurora. but i guess it's different all over. the only reason there aren't many auroras crashed as much as there are mustangs and camaros because 90% of the people who own auroras are 50+ years old. so there less likely to wreck. mustangs and camaros. 16+ years. are most likely to wreck because they just seen hot rodding television and think there v6 or v8 has so much balls.

LMAO i am not saying my car is a racecar nor is the best. I have stated that many times. I am not saying it is going to beat any car out there. If it were a 5-speed manual though i would
Btw i am not going to crash this car. I am a very good driver. I first jumped into a car people thought i been driving for 2 or 3 years. gotta run to school mofos |
