QUOTE
The most annoying toy of all time, the Furby, is returning with a larger vocabulary and an ability to learn new words. Also, he looks freakier and scarier than ever. So the Furby is no cuddlier than it was before, but if you say words like "love" and "friend" to it repeatedly, it will eventually parrot them back to you. It still speaks the dreaded Furbish language, but has hundreds of English words programmed into it as well. If anyone remembers this thing, it was activated by light and movement, and would immediately start to shriek if it detected either. There was no off switch so the only way to keep it quiet was to wrap it in a blanket and keep it in a dark closet. Eventually it would still sense some light and you'd hear the desperate, muffled Furbish screaming. Maybe they've added an off switch for the non-sadists. The new Furby will be out in September 2005.

Oh Lord.
I hated them then, I still hate them now. just thinking about that annoying voice makes me shudder. Might i add, they look even uglier now, IMO.

Haha my sister had a Furby! lol It was annoying! We left it in the car and it was soo hot that the batteries melted or something.. the furby died. It was sad.. it had a deep monotone voice and everything it said was slurred.. then it moved slowly and eventually died. It was a sad sight. mellow.gif It was annoying though. pinch.gif

Reminds me of when my friend trew his into a kiddie pool because he hated it so much. Needless to say, that furby went to 'furby hell'. =)
Did you know that you can't take a furby onto an airplane? At least, you can't turn it on.

wow.
am i the only one who is totally, completely turned on at the thought of the montone, muffled, psychoneurotic sound of "PLAY WITH ME. PLAY WITH ME" that wakes you up in 4am, in the same tone that a pedo mumbles in an alleyway when a bootylicious but legal blond walks by?
gosh, i hate to be a downer, but i think you all need some help.

laugh.gif Furby's are so annoying.
I remember when I had a friend sleep over, and she brought her pink furby. It wouldn't shut up, so I threw it against the wall and it said,'' WHHEEEEE!".
laugh.gif
Well, I know for sure I won't be buying these.

how else is it supposed to so sweetly, but softly crawl under your covers at night with an emerging, "I LOVE YOU", said the way only 56yr old transexuals can, the ones you met in AOL chatrooms who e-mail you pictures of the little girl that fell in love with at the city park?

jesus christ. i am one sick mofo.

Oh good, thats wasnt a great invention for youngster and most likely, it can harm kid's mind that will causes nightmare. Hopefully, there would be something better then that because one day, a toy like that can give us an heart attack, espeically when you have a grandma coming over to your house.

rofl... do they have batteries in them? wait no batteries? no batteries are scary... what if they are monitored by those companies and just do a hidden camera at you... mellow.gif

yeah that looks scary... i never had one, but my friend did haha... she got it on the day of her birthday and i was there... so we had a sleepover at her house too. so theres was like 5 people including me. i couldnt sleep cause she left her furby on her sofa chair... it was just staring at me like its gona jump on me or something. i was in the other side of the sofa chair...my friend let me sleep on the sofa. and like i looked up at the ceiling and looked back at the furby and talked to me out of nowhere "i'm hungggggrrryy." omg i was so scared... i was thinking of chuckie the doll lol...so i woke up the birthday girl, diane. then she told me that it does that all the time... but but but how it talked to me sounded like he was a pyscho doll... "i'm hunnngrry" using ET voice but went low... it was soooooo scary! and then i remembered that one of his foot was moving inch by inch.... but it stopped when i closed my eyes tight cause i was so scared that i thought i was gona pee in my pants... that's when i started to hate it sooo much. dang the new technology of furby looks even scarier. has more furs as if they are elders who needs to be taken care of! but you know it's good to have one...maybe a burgalar came into your place and your furby can hear the distraction and calls for help hehe. but it would be very annoying if still did that even though it was your pet haha.

edit//

lol the commericials are funny... "i feel happy, i feel goood" what the heck? hahahahahahaha and they said that furbies will change the world... *cough* yeah into dead faces cause they're freaking scared of furby... i dont know but furby reminds me of fairytales like it just happened... i thought it was cute when it was speaking in the commericial... well they are cute how they act. like if you throw them, they just say "wheeeee" lol... i couldnt stop laughing about that. i think this girl brought it at church and her guy friends were playing around with it and just throwing it like they are gona shoot the ball to the hoop. my friends and i couldnt stop laughing cause it says wheee.. we thought it was one of us, but it wasnt... it was that furby. dang that was the only good memory.
