I don't believe in love at first sight because love is such a powerful word. When you first see a person, you like their looks but still haven't determined their personality yet, so how can you love them? That's my opinion. As mentioned by For3v3r, people fall in love (not even love, they LIKE) the person's looks. Therefore, that is why I do not believe in love at first sight...wow, this sounds like an essay answer...well kind of. :-D

i sorta do and sorta dont? lols wen i first noticed my bf, i didnt knoe him, he was jus a classmate in one of my many classes somehow we got together lol but i knoe wen i first saw him i said "if only he likes me.." lol he told me he said "by the end of this term i gotta knoe this girl" lol

I believe in lust at first sight, not love. I totally agree with NaTiMaRiE. Love is a terribly strong and powerful word.

 )hmmm... my parents fell in love at first sight.. but the guy i`m with..hmm..i didn`t really notice him `til this year...and he was in the same class as me in orchestra since 2 years ago...what a shame... i guess...i kinda do believe..?and yet i never experienced "love at first sight"... it all depends if you experienced it...i say..

no i dont believe in love @ first sight i think its impossible, because you can fall into like with how someone looks and be fasinated by that persons beauty then you get to know them, the real them and you become sick by the though of that persons name. there is no such thing as love @ 1st sight i believ in lust, obsession, like and fixation not love

i don't think there is love at first sight ... you could call it interest at first sight ... or intruigment at first sight, but definitely not love. how many times have we seen someone totally hot, approached them, and realized they were an ass!?!?!!? you really can't fall in love with someone you don't know. my definition of love is caring for a person more than urself for who they are, every little thing good or bad. you can't determine those things by a glance or even a really long stare. hahahah! and if you noticed, the people that usually say "it was love at first sight" usually sighted a verry good looking person, and therefore was very shallow and dumb in thinking it was "love." so no ... there isn't love at first sight ...

I like to believe, or rather do believe in love at first sight. I believe (as farfetched as it sounds) that everyone has someone on Earth that they are destined to be with in their life. Granted, they may not find that person and end up marrying someone else, but there is someone out there. If you do see that person, yeah, it might feel like you're just looking at a normal, everyday hot guy/girl, but you are definitely attracted to them. There are many forms of love...Love grows with love at first sight.

love at first sight is not actual love. its a term for a burst of affection for someone you see based on their appearance.
you can't love someone you've never met b4. love is knowing the persons perfections and flaws, and loving them because of them. < im not wise, i read, and i watch movies, and my dad is the bomb. |

i agree wit rivendell... I mean, isn't love at first sight just falling in love with their looks? what if they're really ugly on the inside? when you actually meet them, u might feel a kind of 'vibe' but like i don't think i could ever love someone after just seeing them.

i think the concept of love at first sight is superficial, however true it maybe ( i know first-hand..i think) people really do fall in love with looks first. then comes the personality

I think that all of you have stated my feelings on it put together.
There could be love, but you'd basically fall in "love" with the way someone looks, not who they are, so it wouldnt' be with the person. As for the person, you could look at them and think that you "love" them, but later realize how much better (or worse) of a person they are based on personality. So I guess it kidna depends on your outlook on love. Or basically how you define love... |

for me, i dont exactly believe in love at first sight, but i beleive that it can happen (does that make sense?
 ) like, i guess i cant explain it. I would believe it if it happened to me. But, i have mistaken like my first 3 bfs to be love at first sight, so i guess im pretty dulled out if that makes sense as well. I just believe that there is a guy or girl out there that will fit your needs and love you deeply, and if you meet that person by love at first sight, then it happens hehe
