I think it's fine.
I did it once, but it wasn't anything serious.
I'm currently kind of getting involved with a serious online relationship.
I don't think it's stupid, and I don't give a shit if I get someone telling me that the person could be "some 50 year old pervert." People are too f*cking close-minded. Not everyone out there is the exact opposite of what they say.

Anyway, yeah...I do "believe" in it, and I've done it once before. I'd be willing to do it again.

I've always said 'no', but now I can't generalize like that. I'll say that most online dating is idiotic. However, I recently met a newlywed couple in my church who met through that E-harmony thing that is always on tv, so I can't entirely discount it.
