I'm sorry. I would have never thought of cutting myself. But just then...I was really really depressed and I...cut myself. Now I totally regret doing it. It didn't bleed but I have these red marks on my arm and...it's really obviuos. I know if my parents see it I would get in deep trouble. What can I do to get the scars off...
I would wear a long sleeved shirt..but..what else can I get the scars off quick...I really don't want anyone to see it... |

I've been through the same thing but this works the best, go to Genovese or any other pharmacy and buy a bottle of Vitamin E capsules, the gel kind and then take a safety pin or something nad pop the pill and rub the gelly substance inside over hte scars. it should start to fade in a week or so. but if you ever wanna talk I'm here, i've been fighting a depression/cutting phase for a little bit so yea I'm here.

I agree with the first perosn, neosporin does the trick with me when I get hurt. Not cutting myself, but just like normal stuff.

i agree with the person that said about the vitamin pills. but if you cant wait that long, makeup can possibly cover the scars up if you cant wait for it to heal

When you get to the point where you're so depressed that you find yourself cutting; you need to talk to someone. My suggestion is your parents. They are after all the people that love you and the ones that will always be there for you (no matter how many mistakes you make).
If you seriously believe that you can't confide in your parents there are always teachers. There's always some authority figures you can speak to. Hiding it isn't going to fix whatever it is that's bothering you. |

If it didn't bleed, then it most likely won't leave much of a scar.
It'll go away within a few days. If you wish to make something up, say you were playing with a cat or that you fell. My parents bought it. That's not the best way out of the situation, but whatever. As for medicine...I guess cocoa butter? I'm not sure, though. I've never tried any medicine in the past. Another suggestion is if they're on your wrist, then wear some bracelets or sweatbands. Also, you could opt for a sweatshirt or a long-sleeved shirt. That's what I've been doing and no one has asked questions. As for the vitamin pills, the person that suggested them sounds like they know what they're talking about, so I suggest you go that route as well if you choose to try and clear up any scars that might come. But with my experience and from your description, I doubt it'll scar, and if it does scar, then there won't be much to it at all. |

your scars will disappear as time comes. my friend's scars were pretty deep and now you can barely see them.
for now, wear accessories that take the eyes away from the arm. wear bracelets, wristbands (yeah, i wear them a lot :P). don't concentrate too much on it, it'll be gone before you know it! and if you have really learned, make sure you don't do it again. there are better ways at dealing with depression than cutting yourself. i've been through a lot of stages, but i dealt with it other ways. |
