I wasn't able to find another topic like this, but if there is one, please feel free to close this.

What was the story you most hated reading in school. At this point and time, for me, it's FRANKENSTEIN! Blah...give me the damn video and call it a day!

I don't remember the author, but the book was called Kiss The Dust.
We read it in 7th grade.
Ugh.
It was so boring.

suffice it to say the book which has cause the reader the most stress due to the undue verbose-ness of the syntax is simply great expectations by the author charles dickens, in which there are entire paragraphs that merely consist of simply a single sentence as both the opening, the body, and the conclusion of that paragraph.

BLEH.

Wow, you are one of the only people that has ever agreed with me about that book.

In my opinion, it's not just Huckleberry Finn though, I dont really like Mark Twain. When I tell people that, they look at me like I killed him or something. x_X whatever. biggrin.gif

i had to do a sort of survey thing like this in grade 8 (don't ask) and the most popular ones were
-The giver
-Catcher in the Rye
-To kill a mocking bird
Notice how the above two are very controversial.

Mhmm...i liked most of the books we read...except this one..where the dad kills his son to keep his reputation or somethan...ah i forgot the books name, i really didn't like it. And a Seperate Peace...it was ok, but we studied it for about 3 months..lol and the whole time the class thought Finny was gay...which i can understand why they thought that. Mr. N's quote of the year was, "and no! finny's not gay" ...ah don't know why that came into mind. lol

i think that how much you like a book greatly depends upon how your teacher teaches it.
