I have this "friend". His name is...Cyrus. I know he won't read this so yea. WE've been friends for about a year and I've liked him for umm, about a year. In January, we kinda hooked up, he liked me and everything, but then his friends were all like "just ask her out." He kept telling me he wasn't sure if he wanted a girlfriend because he's been single for a year and a half. Then, one day I said something and he got mad at me for it. I don't even remember what I said.
Now, he says that he cares more than I'll ever know, but he can't ask me out because his friends bitch at him about him hanging out with me. The thing that gets me is the fact that I hang out with like all of his friends every day and they're cool with me. Unless he's talking about his friends that are girls, I don't understand. When I asked him to Jr. Prom, he said that he'd think about it, but the other day, when I asked him about it (because he hadn't answered) he said he had decided to say no. That didn't bother me, but I asked him like three weeks ago, and he just recently gave me the answer and said he'd decided like the third day after I'd asked. Right after he said no, he immediatly (almost too fast) asked if I was still going. I told him of course and he said that he'd have to make sure and dance with me..... I am so confused as to whether he likes me or not, he tells me he does, he acts like he does, AWAY from school. Then, at school, he's hitting on all of these "popular" girls who have boyfriends....grrr.....I need help as to whether anyone knows what's going on with this...it seems that everytime I ask him, he takes it personally and gets mad. |

well ionno, but from a girl's point of view , i think its the whole 'peer pressure' thing. like i guess he doesn't want 2 go wit u cuz his friends don't want him 2.... u kno? guys are pretty insecure.....*no offence!! *

haaa eve is harsh.
 Make him jealous at prom dance with friends and make him see what he is missing and when he asks you to dance.... do anything you want... like make him say he loves u or tell him u like him

you need to know if he really likes ya or not........ask him if hes ashame wit ya in front of his "friends" at school...........if he says yes, then he doesnt like ya, if he says no, then tell him to prove it. If he doesnt hang out with u, then he is ashame, and you should send him to hell cuz he doesnt like ya enough

id probably be the perfect guy to give you the answer since ive done this thing myself. the guy likes you BUT unless your one of those girls everyguy wants, he wont "go out with you" bc he thinks people (mostly his guy friends, and the guys he wants to hang out with, cough-the popular guys-cough) are going to make fun of him.

Thank you guys. Hes still acting just--- weird. I don't know. A few other things have been thrown into the situation too...
He asked to talk to me next Tuesday during study hall about some stuff that is good stuff. I know for sure, but then this morning he didn't believe it was me online and got offline on me...I don't know. He's going down to Maryland this weekend and I won't talk to him till Tuesday, so I guess I'll just have to wait it out and let him think whether it's good or not... |

It's typical... This guy is one of many who lets his friends rule his life. He spends every waking moment wondering not how his decisions will affect others but rather how they will affect his image. I think he still has feelings for you - he's hitting on other girls just to try and show his friends that he's "moved on". Try and play along with it - flirt with other guys a bit. See how he takes it.
