Oooh. You got hosted by Heather, right? Which one are you?

Sorry. Off topic..haha. I'm not planning on using WordPress. I usually use HaloScan since I'm lazy, but it's not working for some reason, so I have to figure something out. You can use HaloScan if you want -- you can "skin" it too by changing the colors on the comment box thing.

the b2 templates tutorial on cb should help you get the idea. it isn't exactly the same, but it pretty much has the same syntax, but for a few minor details.

TUT: Skinning Wordpress 1.5

To make a new skin for Wordpress you first need to create a directory in yourdomain.com/blog/wp-content/themes/SKIN_NAME_HERE

Wordpress basicly needs only 4 files for the skin to operate right; header.php, index.php, and footer.php.

header.php is all the stuff that you want in the header,
index.php is where the content goes,
footer.php is where all the stuff on bottom goes, and
style.css is where all your CSS goes.

(If you are not familiar with php inclusions I suggest you do some research on it).

After your are done making your layout then all you need to do is upload it to the directory you made.

After you uploaded it, then in the admin control panel click on Presentation and you will see a list of themes. Click on "Select" to change the current layout to your theme that you just made.

If you need to see and example of header.php, index.php, footer.php then see the following.

header.php
CODE
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

<head>
<title><?php bloginfo('name'); ?> <?php if ( is_single() ) { ?> &raquo; Blog Archive <?php } ?> <?php wp_title(); ?></title>
<style type="text/css">@import url("<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_url'); ?>");</style>
<script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_directory'); ?>/nicetitle.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_directory'); ?>/comment.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_directory'); ?>/nicetitle.css">
