now what was the point of this topic (to make ppl argue?). it seems like something that should be in a blog (since it is your own thought/view). but anyways why must everyone stereotype Christians. not all are hypocrites.

and please don't be rude to other members; you could go about it nicely.

though you are right, littlebit2006, this is a debate. people post their views, opinions, and so on, and people argue on which is more correct. it's quite fun. _smile.gif

I think that VERY VERY few people here know the true concept of Christianity.

Christianity is not a religion. It is a faith something real, that is unexplainable, but explains it all.

Christianity is not about condemning anyone because if that were the case we would all be condemned and go straight to hell. But that nots the story.

It seems as though everyone is okay when Christianity gets bashed, because well"it does most of the religion bashing" Since when? I have never bashed another religion, ever, i might not agree with it but i haven;t bashed it. When Islam gets bashed people get in hysterics and start shouting: racist, prejudice, biggot. But when Christianity gets bashed, the reaction is..nothing everyone just writes it off as well those Christians are so closed minded. Why is it that we always have to be the close minded ones? Why can't the rest of the world be labeled as close minded for rejecting our beliefs and rejecting us.

Heaven is about praising God, there is no crying, no sickness, no hurt. If that is terrible what is good? Destroying my body?Lowering my worth? Denying myself? I think not

Newsflash since when was rock music "bad" and condemning,God made Sex...for marriage, drugs destroy your body, whites only in heaven-that is a mormonism idea not a christian one because i'm black and i'm going to Heaven

whoa whoa whoa... did i miss something here?
christianity is not a religion?

hahahaha... no.

the true concept of christianity is to follow the bible. or actually, what people tell you the bible says to do.

i tell you what.

if christians are right
and by some miracle i get to go into heaven,
i'm going to refuse.

i would not be able to stand all the f---ing obnoxious 'good christians' in there, even if some actual good christians were in there.

sorry, i'm in a really bad mood.

~(to the person who will enivitablly say ' that doens't mean you have to take it out on people.) i'll take it out on whoever i want, thank you very much. CB is my stress relief. much cheaper than therapy. much easier than finding a girlfriend who i could talk to. or any other thing that would make me less in a bad mood.

I've been eyeballing this thread. I really don't think hell kicks ass. If you don't believe in God, then you shouldn't be bashing those of us who do. If you think hell kicks ass, then Kudos to you. In time, we'll see.

Not in any order:

Since the Crusades murdered and masacred people in the name of God.

Since the KKK ruined people in the name of Christ.

Since the Salem Witch Trials.

Since Joan D'Arc was burned at the stake.

Since the Inquisition.

Since the murders and killings of "heretics".

Since Galileo was house arrested for stating the truth.

Since the house arrest and killings of scientists and thinkers.

Since "Pope Nicholas V supports the killing, forcible conversion and enslaving of unbelievers found in the new lands." (source)

Since Atheists were denied the right to representation in Parliament until 1886.

Since Christians discriminated non-believers throughout history...

"Bashing" seems trivial compared to the above, don't you think?

haha, is that a threat...

thats a very intersting fact youve got yourself there... Atheists were denied the right to representation in Parliament until 1886. Like i said in my post in God pt. 2, religion has killed more people than any war (quote george carlin).

Now were kind of debating about God again, not whether hell kicks ass or not.

i just said there are a lot of white people, since white people have a pretty big head start on xstianity than other races. white people have a rather unpleasant record though. Nazis, George W Bush, the Crusades, Japanese internment, black slavery, chinese exploitation and expulsion(see chinese exclusion act), Genocide of the indians(an american holocaust of sorts, read Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee), the exploitation of the entire continent of Africa, etc, etc. good thing Crazy Horse killed Custer's ass.

QUOTE(M1SSxCHR1SSY @ Mar 18 2005, 1:13 PM)

How can you ask someone to not take it too seriously when you basically bash a religion? First of all you must know nothing about Christianity for you to ignorantly say that Christians ban everything cool and that in hell there is all white people and intolerance, etc. First off, if you know anything about the Christian faith you'll know that in Hell you don't do anything but BURN in fire forever. You don't get to do anything or go anywhere. You just burn. There is nothing in Hell. You wouldn't be able to watch porn or play video games or go get drunk. And in Heaven anyone can go therefore why in the world would it all be white and full of intolerance? It says no where in the Christian faith that someone needs to be of white race in order to go into Heaven. Maybe you should get your facts straight or you shouldn't joke around in a debate forum. I don't care if you meant this as a joke because it's also pretty offending. Oh and if God is all powerful why doesn't he lie? Because he doesn't need to. Because he speaks the truth because he is perfect and lying is a sin and God doesn't sin.

spiritual worlds dont have earthly things.
you wouldn't have TV, porn, video games, computers, etc.
instead, you would just...burn, basically..painful, yeah.

Yep, sad ain't it? Well, Christians are very offended when we hear people bagging on our religion. I'll die for my religion. I know hardly anyone actually cares but I will. I have really strong feelings about Christianity and heaven. I think it's a beautiful, exquisite place. And for the writer to just cheapen the word HEAVEN really upsets me. We'll all understand one day. wink.gif

No you didn't say that you were a 'good little Christian' and I didn't quote you on that. You still avoided the topic entirely. The only thing I called you on was, "...and I know I'm going to heaven." Yes, you supported your statement with your biblical quote and thats fine, but since you are a Christian, you do understand the concept of God being your final judge, right? To proclaim that you know you're going to heaven seems a bit... I don't know... help me find a word, OH, narcissistic.

Back to the topic at hand...

Not everyone believes in heaven and hell so for a Christian to defend heaven in accordance to their own beliefs would be unfair to someone else who doesn't share the same views.

but you are mistaken; it's not their race that defines their actions-- it's their wealth. and naturally, wealth turns into pride and corruption, etc. etc.

Christianity is bashed most often by teens because of its widespread nature (especially in the U.S.). Teens are attracted by nonconformity and since so many Americans are Christian and America is based heavily upon Christian values.. what better way to rebel than to diss the religion, right?

That's ironic coming from a Christian. Then again, you shouldn't be responsible for the deeds of other Christians, and I shouldn't generalize, but facts are facts, are facts, are facts.

Lives were taken, people were mass murdered, massacred, burned, ostracized, condemned for being non-Christian throughout the ages. Now that you're saying Christians are being persecuted, I think you're right in the sense that "for every action there is a counterreaction". Or perhaps, not so much as a counterreaction... just comeupance, or even karma.

To be the "bigger" person, tolerance is key. However, history has proven that Christianity's tolerance of non-Christians ranges from little to none and that Christianity must always come out on top. I understand that this may not be your motive, per se, but that doesn't mean all Christians are as saintly/tolerant as yourself.

QUOTE
I know ya'll don't like the bible but read Romans read about the persecutions

I would love to see you read about how Christians persecuted non-Christians, aside from the Bible, please, as I sense it would be lacking in numbers and details, in exchange for me reading Romans about Christian persecution. Perhaps then, we can compare and contrast which side suffered more.

rolleyes.gif So it's a big deal that Christians are offended by others bashing their religions, but if Christians bash others, it's okay? Is that what you learn in Sunday School?

Again, if you have no tolerance for what others say about your religion, don't expect others to tolerate what you have to say about yours.

Yes, you do burn. You burn forever; Hell is the most horrible place ever, so the burning wouldn't be as if you burned to death, but it would be a million times worse. (not you specifically; a general "you")
