Well, I was in a really bad car accident about a year ago. Sadly, I wasn't wearing my seat belt, and I had almost gone through the windshield, if it weren't for the air bag deploying. I was pretty beat up from the hit; bruises all over, stiff neck, and an arm that felt as if though it had been broken, that it was so badly bruised.

I also was hit by a car, while walking into school, three years ago. I was badly injured. Chipped four of my front teeth, permenant damage to my knee, and scrapes all over my body after I fell off his car. The funny part, as if it was funny, was that he had just blew through a stop sign, at the circular drive where you drop the kids off to go into school, so he wasn't going that fast, yet he did all this damage to me.

Also, when I was younger then 5 (not sure what age), my mom and I were going to go swimming, so she took me with her to answer the phone, but I walked quietly away from her, to go into the pool, without my floats on, and I ended up falling into the pool and almost drowned. She had to give me CPR.. She never really told me this story until maybe a year or so ago. lol.. And also, I almost choked to death when I swallowed a penny.

when me, my brother, and my cuzzn was swimming in the river in Vietnam .i didnt know how to swim yet so i was tryin to balance on the stick that was underwater. i didnt want to stand on the land that was underwater too...it felt mushy..anywayz, i lost balance and i fell into the water. and i moved my feet quick and got above water and spit out the water that got into my mouth and i got underwater again. it felt like i've been goin lower and lower for a few seconds until my uncle took me above water and asked if i was ok and wanna go inside but still, i didnt know how to swim until 2 or 3 years later

Yeah, same thing happened to me. I didn't know how to swim, and I was in the deep end of a pool (like 13 feet deep) and I almost drowned...

The closest I've ever come to death? Let's see... I was at my state's Grand Canyons looking over a lookout fence. The view was fantastic. Suddenly a small chunk of rock that I was on top of breaks. It wasn't big, but it was enough to make me slip. I slid right under the bars and came close to falling off. Heh, thank God that I grabbed onto the bars...

a few times:

once when i was about 9, me and my dad were having a bike race in our apartment complex... i was going super fast when all of a sudden this caar pulled out of nowhere and almot hit me. i fell off my bike but got scratches everywhere. i was l l <-- that close to being tire mush >.<

also another time, around november of last year, me and my friends were standing in line outside of the movie theatre buyng tickets, when all of a sudden some scary black dude wearing all dark clothes honked his horn REALLY LOUD. i turned around and he did the "come here" motion with his finger. i pointed to myself and said "me?" and he nodded. then i got scared and grabbed my friend and ran inside the theatre. then he drove off, thankfully. not excactly near death experience, but if he would have gotten me i would have been SO dead.

those were both scary moments.

what if you did come to the guy O_O I wonder what would happen?!!I think he would hurt you...scary!!

No, I never did, but i did meet this amazing girl from kosovo. she grew up there when it was still a war zone. she told me that when she was a little girl she was walking home across a field. she didn't know it, but 2 enemy groups where hiding in that field, and starting shooting at eachother, and she was caught in the crossfire. she made it out ok, but she said that a few years later she was caught in a horrible house fire that her cousin saved her from.

hearing ppl's stories from war countries really make you appreciate what you have.

my sister left me in the backyard when I was 4 and I fell into the pool and nearly drowned but she pulled me out and did CPR
when I was 10 I fell of a jet ski (in the ocean) into the tide, and I remember being held underwater from a huge wave and I couldnt breathe or swim up or anything, then it slowly turned black, luckily my sister swam down and got me and the did CPR once we were on shore
(hm, I guess water is bad luck for me though I love swimming...thank god for my older sis)
o and if not being born counts then that too, I was weird and laid on my breathing cord and couldn't breathe, yea so born purple and then they had to do CPR...
(...and I just have to say, im agnostic so I don't think its god or anything)

I was tubing at this lake one day and the boat was dragging me slowly. ok well a tube and boat looks kinda like this 0>------|||||>. So the tube fell forward and i was stuck in between the rope and then tueb with my head submerged and water was gushing into my face. Luckily i somehow pulled myself out. My spotter wasn't watching me and I could have died =[.
Also my friend and I were walking to my house from the park and this man in a purple truck starts following us. Like he drove down the street and turned around following us up the street but this man that I know came out of his house and stopped the evil purple truck man.

Before I was born. My umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck twice. My heart rate dropped to near zero. They had to give my mom a cesaerean section a month before my due date.

Same here on both counts.
Once I fell off my bike and landed in the street and a car almost ran over my head.

Yes a couple of years ago in a double hold down wave when I was on vacation and the life guard at our resort didn't even see it because he was too busy talking to someone. It was horrible I could feel my body being pushed into the sand over and over and then right when I had a chance to get some air another wave came up behind me and knocked me down.. if it wasn't for that little bit of air that I had taken I would of died..

mm, when I was really little our family was in india. they don't have the best transportation system there and we were on this rickety carriage thing. my mom's sari got caught on the wheel and I was in her lap and we fell off it. my mom was protecting me of course but I have this really long scar which is now fading a bit on my thigh.

hmm... no i dont think there was a topic about this. this is actually my first time hearing it...

hmm.. yeah i almost die.... but good thing the doctors hurried up and kept helping me even though there was 99% chance that i could live or not... when i was first born.. something bad happened to me...and the doctors thought i only had 2 days to live...but my dad he went to his church and tell everyone to pray about me.. so they prayed and prayed..and after like 2 days, i didnt die... the doctors found out that i was okay and well.... my mom didnt know because they didnt want my mom to know.. cause you know they'll get upset...and i cant believe my mom still doesnt know about it, she thinks that's a joke... o yeah not just me, but my mom too..she was gona die too..but i guess God saved our lives...without HIM, i wouldnt be here living.

I think I was around 6 or 7 and I was at the pool at the YMCA. And I went to far and ended up in the deep end. I started drowning and I kept yelling and the stupid lifeguard didnt even notice me -_-. Finally this girl saw me and brought me back to the shallow end of the pool.
