Hey people, do you guys know a site where I can upload music (for my xanga) to?
I'm talking about a free site that can host more than 5 megs at a time because most of the songs anre over 5 megs. If you know any free file sharing place where I can upload music to and put it on my xanga I would be very grateful. -thanks |

well, if you're songs are more than 5 megs, you can convert them to a smaller size. Have you tried that? Converting mp3 to wma in 64kbps cuts a 5 mb mp3 in half to like 2.5 megs or less and the sound quality is still pretty good. Go to www.dbpoweramp.com for an awesome music converter.

I would prefer uploading it to geocities or angelfire and the converting is not a bad idea also.

Actually, converting is it ALOT better also becuase the thing is, there are people who use DIAL-UP internet. They will have to WAIT a long time for your music to download so that they can listen to it... So, you should lower the bitrate. Mines is at i believe.. 32 lol. The file is less than 1 MB (around 750 kb for me), so it will laod really quickly, and it saves space so you can uplaod more songs.

I've used Angelfire for uploading music before, and it works. But try the converting thing first.

It's best to use your ISP's webserver. When you sign up for an ISP, they usually give you a certain Megabite of web server for you to do whatever. Use it. =] I have 7 - 15mb servers. ^^;; Enough for all my songs.
