Do you know anyone who has cancer? Have you known someone who died because of cancer? Do you know any cancer survivors? Share your experience. I'm participating in a fundraiser called Relay For Life which raises funds for cancer research and such. I just wanted to know what y'all experienced because of this disease to give me a better sense of what I'm raising money for and to also give me more motivation.

If you'd like to make a donation to Relay For Life, you can donate online at:

Relay For Life

All money goes towards cancer research. Thank you in advance for any donations. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM me. Peace.

My aunt has Leukemia; has had it for as long as I can remember, probably close to a decade now. She's been in and out of remission alot; though I know her faith in God has probably kept her strong and alive throughout all of this.

It's amazing the treatments Doctors and Scientists have thus far created to help her and others out. It's also amazing the amount of other people that have leukemia, and other cancers. I never realized, when I was younger, until my aunt would tell me stories of all the survivors she had met, and also stories about victims.

My friend's mom died from Breast Cancer, my mom has had pre-cancerous things on her face, someone my mom works with had breast cancer and had to have her breast removed, and my geometry teacher has had cancer a couple times in the past 2 years. It's so sad that I can name 4 people in my life with cancer, isn't it?

My cousin's aunt has had cancer and she had to spend a long time in the hospital. She also has a low immune system and I feel bad for her. But she's taking care of herself now, and I'm glad of that.

My grandma died from cancer, and cancer runs in my family. A lot of people in my family have had it, but, thankfully, survived

Thats why I have taken it upon myself to join the Teen Board of the American Cancer Societ. I will be at Relay for Life

sad.gif ^ I am really sorry.

Most of my grandparents died from cancer.
I wasn't alive when they were, so I don't know what it's like to have a loved one go through that.

omg I am very sorry to hear that like brie said too! 2 weeks to live... dang that's just a harsh moments >.<;; im speechless to the people who is dying the next 2 weeks or the next day... i cant say hope you feel better cause then that's too harsh way to hurt someone even more..so i'll just say "im sorry to hear that"

anyways, i know someone survived from a cancer...i dont really know if he had a cancer... cause i was kinda hmm off conversation with them... and besides they were talking this advanced korean languages and i couldnt barely understand them >.<;; just words like cancer and disease...that's all i heard..so i dont know if my best friend, andy got cured from a disease or a cancer...he's actually alive. and sorry that i cant donate since im not that rich. well even though im not rich... i should donate because im still living and that person is weak and almost dying...so i think we all should donate at least.... sigh i wish i can help, but... if only it was near me, i will donate, but if this place is far. im sorry, i have to decline it.
