I'm not gonna say i'm popular. I don't care -_- I know most of the ppl in my grade tho and I know some 7th graders and 6th graders too, and the 7th graders thinks that I'm popular, which i'm not. they just think i'm popular just 'cause I know a lotta ppl and they know me. I know a lotta ppl 'cause I've been in my school for 3 years now[middle school 6,7,8 graders] I don't care about "popularity" just as long I have my friends, I'm fine wit it

Its really werid for me...i went to one of my old highschools and i really didnt think i would be missed...well the day after i left i had like 20 phone calls from people telling me they miss me and then like god knows how many e-mails...i guess i wasnt popular i guess i just knew alot of ppl

Once you are in highschool you'll realize that no one truly is "popular" as they portray in movies/shows and such. There are cliques but not to the extent that one clique is more popular and well known than another. Sure there might be people who are a bit more social and know more people but that doesn't mean they fit into the box of popularity. So yeah, popularity is not important. It's a waste of time as well to try to BE popular. Plus, in highschool and your life after highschool you'll realize there are so many more important things to worry about. |

it reallly depends on what you think popular is and what you do to be popular. lyke some popular people do the stupidest things. smoke,drugs,sex just for popularity. the other popularity is people know you because your friends with everyone. but being popular isnt everything.

I tell you what, and this I know for a fact. Once you get out of high school, and all of those people you were friends with disperse, popularity will not matter. Even the most popular people, people you probably dreamed of hanging out with, going shopping with, whatever, they wont mean a dman thing. I worked at the mall in a clothing store (one was American Eagle) and I saw so many people I knew in hi school, and now they are just people. Back then it seemed like such a big deal. I hated some of those girls for no friggin reason. Because they were in a different crowd than me, and when it came down to it, I knew they didnt like me either. But it was never for good reason. Now I see those people, and they are just other people. They don't matter. You will get over this stupid popularity issue. My advice? Focus more on the good long term close friends you have...forget about the people that will be out the door the second the school year ends. Those are the people you want around you, and those are the ones that will stay with you no matter what direction life takes you.

I would hate being popular. It's a common misconsption tjat everyone likes popular people. There are more people that like them, but quite a few people who hate them. I don't disgriminate against popular people. I had this crush on a chick that's popular. But (not to be steriotypical), a lot (not saying most) are really b!tchy. I just like being in my own group. And, I honestly do like attention, but I wouldn't like that much. I just like being.. me.

well it depends how you look at popularity. i want to have a lot of friends, yes, which is how i look at popular. however most people tend to look at popular as the top of like the social ladder or whatever, and i don't care about that. all those girls do is bring down other girls.
