Its not like they are telling a huge lie.  It makes the kids happy.  WHO CARES.  Its the parents choice if they want to tell their kids about Santa Claus or not.

If you were ugly and I told you that you looked hot and you wanted to be a model, would that be right? I mean, if your ugly, come on (not saying your ugly at all happy.gif )

I think they should continue lying... haha... cause if they know about Santa Claus then they will be innocent. Cause the thing is that if you don't be innocent, and be so rude to everyone, you'll never get any presents from Santa. So to get respect, I think we need Santa Claus to take the stand... lol

i think that the real reason behind 'santa claus' is to teach little kids (that are too young to understand) the meaning of giving and spreading happiness during xmas. so i guess if u lie 2 them or not depends on their maturity level, some kids understand it but others dont (which is y u hafta lie 2 them).

the parents shouldn't lie about santa claus, i never believed in santa claus because my parents never really acted out that tradition or whatever, sure the kids will be happy then but what about when you have to break it to them? you'll lose their trust and they'll throw temper tantrums

what kind of message is being sent? parents tell their kids not to lie, yet the parents can lie?

yeah....I agree
I dont think you should lie to your kids.

I havn't told my daughter about "Santa" or anything like that because she's smart for her age, and I don't want to have to explain to her at five or six why I lied :-/. My mom and everyone in my family respects that. Brittney never really got into Santa.

I think Parents should just wing it, and let the kid believe what they want.

well, all that stuff, like santa claus and how the presents got under the tree, is just for entertainment for children. they love the thought of an overweight guy dressed in a big red suit giving them free stuff. lol... i believed in santa claus until i was about 5, when my brother told me haha... i was never upset over it, i was kinda freaked out at the thought of some stranger just coming into our house shifty.gif
