the food pyramid is a political poly.

the reason why it tells you to eat so little meat and so much bread is that it was made when the government predicted there would be meat shortages.

so they released the pyramid to encourage people to eat less meat and more bread.

it's got nothing to do with health or diet. it's political.

actually; no.

the reason why some animals are not extinct is because we eat them.

and the reason why some are is because we don't

take the dodo bird for example.

the dutch found them to taste nasty, so they just hunted them for fun.

the didn't care about preserving them because they didn't see a use for them.
now cows, these are kept alive because we can eat them.

i think that there are some religions that don't let you eat some forms of meat or other things like that but in my religion (christianity) we are allowed to eat anything. unless it is a certain holiday or fasting period.

There's no wrong to that statement. We can eat whatever we want to live. We need foods to live. I know if you eat too much meat, it's bad. But let the people eat whatever they want. A lot of people doesn't want to stay healthy, then don't let them. I don't think why we should force them. It's like they don't have much freedom if we keep forcing them what to eat.

There really is no right or wrong way to each person, but I myself am vegan. I feel that it is not only wrong to kill and or use animals for their products but it is also way healthier for you. I know veganism can be a little intense for some people, but I was a vegetarian for quite some time. And trust me, as soon as I stopped eating meat I could feel the difference. I had more energy, I lost weight, and I was guilt-free. Well guilt-free until I realized I was still killing tons of cows, chickens, etc. for their products. So here I am.
