So do you think that if 600 million people on the Western Hemisphere jumped at the same time, the Earth would be pushed a few units away from the Sun enough to prevent global warming?

Do you think it's an internet joke?

What horrible consequences do you think would incur if it actually worked? Crashing into the moon before it compensates for the change of Earth's orbit?

Wouldn't it be diabolically humorous if the Eastern Hemisphere decided to jump at that time, also. Maybe we can crush the Earth a few inches. rolleyes.gif

[edit] there's also the problem w/ unsychronized watches. And people in America would have to stay up during the night. Psh.

haha i can see it now, tons of people would be watching a big tv or hearing someone say " JUMP ON THE COUNT OF THREE. 1...2.....3!!!"
except people from vietnam and other places that are really hot wouldn't want that.

lolol Hahah! I wonder if it really would work.. It cold be just some joke. The Earth's surface is like.. Nth times bigger than all the people on Earth grouped together.. And just think, that's only the surface. But hey who knows.. if all those people did jump, Earth might be pushed out of it's orbit.. whistling.gif

wow, that's pretty interesting.
stop global warming, extend daytime hours, and create a more homogenous climate...
