i've used all 3...i went from limewire to kazaa to winmx and now back to limewire...kazaa was okay until it went down and people don't use it so much anymore...winmx just sucked. limewire works pretty well for me.

i think morpheus is the best for fast downloads, ive tried the others b4 but was not impressed.

I've had kazaa and limewire. I really like Limewire because they've had all the songs I've wanted so far, they download pretty quickly.. and with kazaa it slowed down my computer and was giving it viruses. limewire doesn't seem to cause any problems at all

Hm. I think Winmx is best out of all those because it doesn't take up much space and its satisfying. But it's ugly. ROFL. Kazaa and limewire definetly has a better look but with all those pop up ads, i don't think I can take that.
I currently use iMESH. which stinks right now because i cant download anything.. dont know why.... |

I use Limewire. I think its pretty good. I was amazed how much better it worked than kazaa. I think limewire is the way to go

Limewire is really slow at downloading.
Kazaa has a lot of bugs and viruses. I hear WinMx is pretty good, though I haven't tried it. |

kazaa really makes me mad.. just too much spyware and adaware. winmx is pretty good if you know what your doing, though i do agree the skin is not great. i get the feeling winmx has more people sharing which makes a broader selection but the search on it is not the best. i currently use limewire.. which is nice. downloading isn't too bad.. decent speeds (for dsl atleast), good search. what didn't like about was that it used java that gave it a wierd look. i used shareaza for awhile.. which i like the best but it's sorta hard to calibrate. now i can't download from it (i think it's b/c of my router.. but i'm not too sure). shareaza, if you figure it out, actually downloads from emule and edonkey.. plus they have bittorrent (but it sorta sucks w/ bittorrent). unlike winmx, however, shareaza didn't have that many users.. it might have changed though since the last time i used it, which was some while ago. if youre thinking about bittorent, i would suggest using exeme. i generally use bittorent for shows/movies/big files. imesh i didnt even try.. found adaware the second i finished installing it. i'm sure it isn't as bad as kazaa.. but if you're paranoid like me then stay away from imesh. i'm also trying out IRC but it costs money to run mIRC so i'm sorta hesitant about that. finally, morpheus is not as bad as kazaa but it was just sort of wierd. i think it gave me adaware but i can't be sure, it always lagged my computer and the downloads (from what i remember) were slow. but then again i havent used it a long time so it could have changed. i strongly suggest shareaza but if it doesnt work then limewire for sure. hope this helps. have a nice day and sorry for the long post.

limewire is the best. and i have heard that from tech tv "screensavers"
kazaa is full of adware and spyware but limewire blocks all of that for you. and you can find the songs really fast on limewire its probably the best but i cant say that since i havent tried winmx. but i use it and it works perfectly. but seriousli kazaa.. do you really want your name out there. lol its like giving everyone your telephone number. |
