"oh, i'm so emo." first off, emo ppl don't declare their asses off that their emo. secondly, ASHLEE SIMPSON OR AVRIL LAVIGNE DOTH NOT COUNTEH AS EMO, TARDS. stupid media. taking bands, picking some random song, and putting it on the radio, and then everyone goes, "I'M SO EMO, I LOVE THIS BAND!" stupid posers..  yay for venting. |

I don't mind people being emo, but people who constantly display their "emo-ness", and try to make a big deal, and a point of being emo are REALLY annoying.

with the emo fad comes the anti-emo fad, which really isn't all that much better. the emo fad sort of confuses me.. but if teens find security and community through it, then by all means, let them be. it becomes unacceptable only when emo-ness turns into full-on depression.

I hate this Emo trend. People claim to be emo saying that their depressed about their lives and that they always think about suicide and that they listen to all these screaming bands and such. Annoying as f**k.
I myself hate "emo" music... I consider it a waste of a song to sing about your life about how much it sucks and all that crap. If your gonna' sing about life please don't whine and cry about yourself. |

I don't give 'emo' much thought. i just download what i like and i'm always looking for new bands.
however the other day i downloaded My chemical romance, something corporate, mae, and thursday. my boyfriend said 'are you becoming and emo chic now'. i kinda got upset, i don't like being labeled. the emo fad happened 2 years ago at my highschool, so i kinda don't notice it that much. cheer up emo kid!!!

completely agreed. what i hate the most is that these people think that taking back sunday, my chemical romance, senses fail, the early november, dashboard, etc are emo and that they're SO cool by listening to them. um, no.

It reminds me of emu. There's this girl at my school who got her hair and stuff like that. What a fag. And she thinks she's cool, but she's just a whore. There aren't much people in my school who are "emo", but whatever. I really hate those people who are all "omggggggg i'm so depresssed!! " because you see like, 50000 of them on xanga and it's really getting lame. |
