It's really plain, maybe add a banner. For some reason, I think I've seen that background on a xanga before. huh.gif

Yes, I like simple. And I hate pretending to be this graphic artist that most xanga people have been pretending to do lately...

its really really really really plain.
i like the moving backround though. its lind of like a film strip. you should go farther with the movie idea. like make a banner, and have something with movies.

It's okay for a simple layout.

A moving background isn't the best thing to use when you have to read text, that has a transparent background. I also don't care for background music you can't stop.

You can stop both the background music and gif animation by clickin "Stop" on the IE toolbar. wink.gif

Mkay, I know ways around that, however, I don't use IE. Once a page is loaded in firefox, there's no need to use the stop button. If a page loads before I can stop it, the music cannot be stopped. Therefore, why I said that.

Obviously.

As if I'm going to state that each and every time I reply to people's posts in this subforum.

Though for the most part, I do when it deals with misalignment. rolleyes.gif

Well many things are misaligned in Firefox anywayz. I was simply letting you know that it's possible to stop background music and moving gifs in IE because a lot of ppl don't know that.

Even so, you should take into consideration the amount of people that don't even post here, that might visit that xanga, and leave id immediately because they do not know how to stop that music. Also, it's probably hell on dialup users.

Just because you know how to go around it, or have a fast connection, you don't design it for yourself for the most part, you design it for the viewer.

And about many things being misaligned, it's because people don't take the time to make sure that things are okay in both browers; nowadays people are too lazy to do that. Makes the creator look lazy, and just overall makes the viewer not want to even look anymore at the layout, knowing that the creator didn't take the time to consider the viewers.

But what if you aren't able to check other browsers? I'm pretty sure we only have IE on our computer. I've heard other people say similar things and is there a way to check it?

I'm not sure if there are generators online, where you can enter in your address, and it'll check the sites code on all browsers. I'm sure if you searched around, you'd be able to find one.

As far as the other browsers, most are all downloaded from the internet; they don't come on your computer, normally.
