after the xanga claf page changed, the chinese words in my header and the song title in my song playlist changed into "alien words" and symbols... i hav to change them everytime i edit my header...
what can i do? just don't use any chinese words?? hope someone can help :) |

hmmm....it probably has something to do with your font settings. if you have your font set to something like Times New Roman, it won't read the chinese characters. what i would suggest (and i don't know if this will work) is to change your font settings to something that will read the Chinese characters and normal English words. make sure to change the font settings for both your playlist and your blog.
How to Find a Font That Will Work: try copy/pasting your Chinese characters into a Photoshop document. it will automatically set it to a font that reads both English and Chinese (if you have such a font installed). however, if the people viewing your page don't have that font installed, then it will read the page in a default font like Times New Roman and the text will still look "alien" to the user. I used to technique above for Japanese characters, I've never tried it with other characters. hopefully someone with a bit more experience will come to your rescue. :) |

what kind of fonts can show chinese and english??
mine is now Geneva.. i guess that's unable to do so, rite? thanks for ur help:) |

Go to internet browser.
View -> Encoding -> Chinese Traditional/Simplified. Try all the ones that start with Chinese. |

Unless your computer is in Chinese, usually the Chinese words will appear to be symbols in an English computer.
