ok i know i know.. this is a damn long story.. if u wanna skip the information then try reading just the very last paragraph.. if u need to know the details then yeah read everything.. sorry for the longness _unsure.gif i talk alot D; hahah

ok well some of you may have read my topic on how i needed tips on how i could ask my dad about letting me go visit the philippines(my home town, bf's there too) during my spring break (april-may) well i've FINALLY (after 3weeks) got to talk to him tonight with my mom..

ok two problems.. firstly, while i'm in the philippines, my friends and boyfriend want to go to Boracay (amazing beach in philippines) for a week to celebrate graduation and all and jus for fun u know? so hey one step at a time.. first, permission for going to the philippines.

however tonight as my mom and i saw my dad's reaction on letting me go to philippines to visit, we realized that we shouldnt even ask him to let me go to Boracay beach cuz he would have definetly said no. cuz it was already so hard for him to say yes bout the philippines thing haha. plus no adults are coming with me and my friends to supervise, nothin.. (i'm almost 18 so i can take care of myself but my dad doesnt see that yet.. he's one of those dads lol -_- )

so thats problem #1; having to hide from my dad bout going to the beach. the ticket to go to the philippines is only $470 and i can pay for that with my allowance that i've been saving up so yey happy.gif the boracay trip is another $200 (room prices, boat trip n everything included laugh.gif cheap!!). my dad will give me "pocketmoney", hahaha probably more than that amount lol cuz he usually gives me big pocketmoney when i travel so i can jus use that for the beach trip hahaha perfect huh?? my mom and i only figured that out whilst talkin to him lol..

ok ok problem #2; id always tell my bf bout alot of good news that would come up that would be of great benefit to the both of us, so we'd get all psyched up and happy, getting our hopes up too high.. then the nxt thing we know it ends up not happening anymore. that happens alot with us. well for once i thot id have the guts to ask my dad to let me go visit him for once (well after a long time) to suprise my bf cuz he's been really down lately bout some complicated things. so then i did something pretty dumb sad.gif one day when he was realy down a couple weeks ago, i told him that i was visiting him for sure during spring break, i hadnt even talked to my dad OR my mom bout it i jus said it right there to cheer him up n he was happy all over again n hasnt been down since..

of course i had to talk to my dad for sure soon bout it.. but my mom kept saying to wait for the right time cuz he's a really moody person n lotsa shit stuff has been happening lately, thats why tonight was the best night.

so.. my bf the whole time thot i was waiting this whole time to talk to my dad tonight bout the BORACAY thing cuz he n his friends needed to know if i could go.. thank god my dad said yes about visiting the philippines. we can forget bout the boracay thing. atleast my mom's letting me so she can help me hide from my dad while im at the beach n all.. we've done it before so its ok.. its jus wat do i tell my bf? hahaha SOO sorry this story had to be so long n it all comes down to jus that question, its jus i wanted to get the story clear so i can get the best advice on wat to tell my bf =( i dont wanna lie to him and say that "oh yeah talked to my dad tonight! he said yes about the boracay thing! so lets go!" main reason is because i just dont want to lie to him =/ so yeah the answer is to tell him the truth but how? how do i say it =( im not very good at expressing myself to the ppl i love most when i make mistakes n stuff.. cuz when i explain it comes off really bad =8 so help mee =( plss

Telling him the truth is the best thing that you can do. Tell him that you knew he was down, so you said you could come to make him feel better. And that you genuinely thought you would be able to. Just spill everything out.. you'll feel a lot better.

oh wow sweetie. err. thats was a lot to read and I'm not even sure I really caught the problem. BUT on the bf thing, I think the best thing you can do is be as honest as possible. And I can totally understand having to hide from ur dad about the beach, cuz my family is really over protective of me too. Its really annoying cuz they treat me like some dumb 13 yeard old and now I'm friggin 19. grr. bUt yeah, I say if your mom is gonna help you, then go ahead and do it. You gotta live right? And uh...I reread it and I dont really see the problem with the bf. I mean, all that should matter to him is that you are going. Who cares you if you said you were sure before you were sure. Moment of overconfidence? But seriously. Just take advantage of your chance to have fun, and make sure your safe so your dad doesnt end up having to go pick you up outta jail and you have to explain the whole thing to him under those circumstances. Just do whatever feels right, that you wont regret a week/month/year/10 years from now, okay? :D

you have the-
good news: Your mom said "yes"
bad news: your dad doesn't know about it.

okay...if i understand what you wrote (i only read it once and i have sucky memory pinch.gif ) you get to go on your trip and to the beach, your dad doesn't know about it but your mom said it was okay and is going to keep it from him, and you told your boyfriend you were definately going to see him before you asked for permission...

i understand the thing with the lying...my boyfriend has been lied to for his whole life and he trusts me more than anything so if i lied, it's all over...

yes, relationships are built on trust but...i don't think you should admit that you lied...because you were trying to cheer him up, it's a good lie...he will most likely never find out so there's no need to have to go through a whole argument about this...with him being depressed once more and you'll lose his trust over this which is stupid...

just tell him your mom says it's okay and is going to keep it from your dad. in the future...try not to lie, even if it's another thing like this...
