What do you think is worse: Rejecting someone or being rejected? & are you a "forgiver" and someone who pretends that it never happened afterwards? (In terms of knowing them as friends, close or not, before it all happened. & in terms of "forgiving", you become great friends after a long while).
I seriously think both of them are quite bad. - Being rejected: Been through that, but guys at my age, are still immature compared to us girls. So they just ignore you, which totally crushes me. - Rejected a friend: It kills me, too. Especially if they try to flirt with you (even in front of your friends and you don't want to say anything mean to him. him coming up and asking you for a hug when you just gave one of your girl friends one is quite weird, especially in front of your friends!). - I'm a forgiving person: You can't control your emotions & if you're real true friends, you wouldn't stop your relationship just because of these things. But yea, it still slightly changes my point of view of him whenever I look at him or talk. O-well. One day you will get over it. |

well, being rejected feels more worse..... mostly when you dont understand why you weren't obviously good enough. But for me, it's worse having to wonder how the other one feels if i rejected them.

The rejected feels worse, but i wud say there is more guilt whe yu rejected someone, cuz it might really hurt for soemone like someone who's liked you for years, or atleast a long while. One girl admitted to liking me for 3 years, and asked if she cud be my girlfriend (she was really shy and stuffz, so it seems odd) and i said no, it'd be better as friends and she became all depressed and shiz, its not a good feeling to know you've kinda killed one's spirits.

QUOTE(seremela_culnamo @ Mar 1 2005, 11:58 PM) So they just ignore you, which totally crushes me. whenever I look at him or talk. O-well. One day you will get over it. Don't get mad, get even. Psychology teaches us that the socially optimal person is a fair person. A fair person is someone who returns good for good and bad for bad. If someone rejected you, clearly they wronged you, so it is socially optimal to get even. |

been in both situations, but i`d rather be rejected than reject someone .. unless that person treated me like crap
as for the other thing, i think i`m a forgiving person. i like to stay friends with people |

I've rejected people before, it's fun! Especially when you do it in the middle of Amish country, invent an elaborate story, and get random college kids to pretend they know you and play various roles in said elaborate story.
