Do you know your way to your house/school/church?
Even though you've been living in that state for more than 5 or 6 years,
don't you get any troubles telling the directions to people on how to get there?

I have that problem. I lived in Shoreline, Washington for 3 years so far.
And, I still don't know the streets to my apartment. I always say like,
"It's near Costco and Magic Dragon. Just go from there and I'll show
you where to go." And I also have to say "Right, Left, Stop" ehh yeah.
I guess I don't really pay attention to the roads when my mom drives.
So that means I don't memorize the street names and what exit it is.
Well I know my street is Bagley. But they question me like which Bagley.
I asked my apartment manager, kinda stupid of me to do that but I did
just in case if someone ask me again. So yeah.... even they tell me, I forget.
If I write in the paper or in my diary, I forget or lose it. Ehh... yeah... that's just my life. How are you going with knowing your way?

I know my way around everywhere around here and I've only been living here for two years! >=D

Before I got my permit I would walk to wherever I wanted or had to go so I had to know all of the streets and turns and crap x]

Sooo... driving for me is easy now that I know where everything is and how to get there >=D

I know how to get to places, but I have a hard time telling people where to go. I've lived in Imperial Beach pretty much my whole life, except for those three years I was in Guam due to my dad being stationed there, and I don't really know any of the streets. I can walk around and not get lost, but I'd have a hard time giving directions.

Pssh yea. Of course, I've been pretty sheltered and since I've never really gone out to different places very often, it's hard for me to remember. My boyfriend has photographic memory, lol. He can see a place once and remember how to get there for life or something... lol It's scary... But at least when he's there we won't get lost! lol.

But I know my way around since I actually started walking around my town area place.. thingy. But I barely know how to get anywhere in San Diego. pinch.gif I get lost easily if it's outside my neighborhood area.

i've been living in my city for 10 years, and it's really small, so i usually know my way around the whole place.

my school is two blocks from my house, it would be sad if i didnt know the way there. plus, i walk anyway.
church isnt that far away, in my city as well.

I used to have the same problem until I started driving then I was basically obligated to look at street signs and know where places are and know how to give directions.

QUOTE(Wishful_Dream @ Mar 2 2005, 12:54 AM)
i don't know any street names.. or park names.. or anything, i just know how to get there and where it is.. >< i just don't know how to explain haha.. x.x it gives me a difficult time when people ask O_O!
*

Haha same here!!! I dislike when people ask me where to go, because I suck at it. And they just laugh out loud because I don't know my street and the directions to my apartment. It sucks, but... that's life for me. It's a very difficulty situation for me when people ask me for the directions to the places where I need to go. So I rather go with the people who knows the place well haha.

I'm pretty good at navigating through the streets here in Monterey Park, down in SoCa. I've been living in this particular house for 6 years. I know most of the streets in my other home too... up in Portland, Oregon. Pretty darn cool.
