weblog and banner alignment Options

yay, i finally got the rollovers working! thanks to the members (gotnoheart and [2]Nekked ) here at this forum

but now i'm faced with a new problem

I used this code to border my weblog entries

but the there's a HUGE gap on the left side of the bordered entry that I cannot fill with text. Is there a way to have the text fit in evenly within the border of the entry box?

also, after using a few codes to delete the modules, my banner and the weblog entries are not lined up with the xanga banner add and I could not tweak my way into aligning flush with my graphical elements.
