in your xanga css there should be a place to change that.

input, select, textarea, iframe.htmleditor, .textfield, .button {
/* this edits the buttons, dropdowns, etc. */
border: 1px solid #ffffff;
font:normal 12px trebuchet ms;
background-color: ffffff;
font-color:#BD6A72;
}

you'll probably have to change the background color to transparent.
