and again, no one is telling you to smoke. just respect people who do as people respect you for choosing not to smoke.

i know that nobody is telling me to smoke. but the way that you bring off marijuana to be is not correct. I want to post true facts so that people don't go "well, since she said that it doesn't hurt you, then maybe I should smoke pot!"

ok. ive done and read plenty of scientific reasearch that stated what i said in the beginning. because one website alone says it doesnt make it true. but i'm done commenting on this forum. dont respect me fine. there is more to me than jsut smoking oh and yes, i am very physically active, but you wouldn't know seeing you just see me as a smoker. _dry.gif

i think alot of you guys are making too huge a deal out of this, seriously.
alcohol makes your body freakin weird too when you're under the influence
yeah, you're more likely to have a heart attack, whatever.
more people die because of that, and its not healthy, do you not talk to people who drink too?
you only hear about the horrible side effects of smoking marijuana, and i know alot of my dads friends that used to smoke it and still do who are perfectly okay, and one of them is about to become a doctor. alot of people enjoy it and dont suffer any problems from it (with acception for when they are high off their rocker)

its one thing to let random people ruin their lives, but its another story when its you good friends or family members. not everything is so simple as "just deal with it"

Occasionally...and to the person who mentioned something about legalizing it in the U.S., the government would never do that because they can't control it. They could sell cheaper than any other dealer, but they still wouldn't be able to keep control over it.

you really think that i care deeply about the people that smoke weed on cb? I mean, be real. I don't know any one of these people. They are all basically strangers with a picture of themselves posted in their signature. I'm already "over it" [ the whole thing about marijuana ] and I was just posting real facts and my opinions about the drug. All because I don't agree/relate to you, doesn't mean that you can attack me and say that i need to get over it. CB is for different people to express how they feel about a variety of topics. And that's what I'm here to do. Say what I feel and believe.

canada can do it so can we
marijuana is already out of control, every one and their dog smokes it. they stopped testing football players at the highschool and middle school here for weed because they wouldn't have a football team left if they did. more than half of the school smokes weed regularily. if it were legalized to a certain age major drug dealers wouldnt be making 1/4 of what they are making now from marijuana proceeds. i just cant see it getting more out of control than it is now, but its just a theory, i dont know all of the facts

no ones trying to attack you, and some of us are just trying to cram some logic from the other side of the hill into your head

QUOTE
Marijuana is far less dangerous than alcohol or tobacco. Around 50,000 people die each year from alcohol poisoning. Similarly, more than 400,000 deaths each year are attributed to tobacco smoking. By comparison, marijuana is nontoxic and cannot cause death by overdose. According to the prestigious European medical journal, The Lancet, "The smoking of cannabis, even long-term, is not harmful to health. ... It would be reasonable to judge cannabis as less of a threat ... than alcohol or tobacco."

That is directly from the National Organization for Marijuana Reform Laws...
