try massaging it, or exercise more so you won't get cramps. and if you do exercise always do warm ups to prevent cramps

stretching should help a lot... just stretch until you really feel it and hold that position untill the sore starts to go away.

I have the same problem, I use pain patches that are either hot, cold, or menthol or a combination of those. Hope you feel better.

My science teacher told me to eat bananas because I get foot cramps all the time. I dunno if it works...I don't like bananas. I usually just try to walk it off or massage.

QUOTE(Wishful_Dream @ Feb 16 2005, 3:39 AM) o.O does anyone here REALLY know how to prevent us from getting it? cuz i always get it when i run.. it's awful. x.x" stretch your leg muscle. when stretching, don't bounce and hold the muscle for at LEAST 30 seconds otherwise the stretch isn't really a stretch. When you are done running or whatever exercise you are performing, stretch again. When stretching, take your time; it should take approx. 5 minutes. If you're muscles are in pain afterwards, that means you are building a muscle .. you may have worked it a bit much than you should've. To allevate the pain, take a hot bath. This will loosen the muscle a bit, so will heating pads. ALSO, drink lots of water .. this can help lessen the chance of getting these cramps because your muscles are dehydrayed |

Yes, take 4 tums a day. You get the potassium and calcium that you need with those. And stretch. I used to get cramps until i did that. Once the cramps start to die down, stop taking the tums as much.
Hope that helps :) |
