i saw this and thought i would reply... i've only really heard of indian people doing it i guess cuz im indian... hahaha... the only places i've heard of it being done are indian salons... but yeah its really cheap... my sister learned how to do it and just about all her friends come over for her to do it for them... it doesnt hurt unless the person doing it isnt good at it... the first time i got it done, i cried the whole time and swore i would never do it again but then my sister and one of her friends did it and i didnt even feel it and it was so fast... a lot less painful than pulling each hair out individually like plucking... it kinda grabs a bunch at one time... and there are no needles or anything involved...

I've had it done before. To tell you the truth, I like it better than waxing and plucking because it is really quick and it only hurt a little the first time and it gets the hair our quickly.

I did it and it was a little painful, but just becuz it was my first time doing it. U get used to it after a while and it is a whole lot better than plucking or waxing. The results last longer and it is much faster. :)

ooh ooh i know how to do it!! it doesn't hurt as much as waxing. that's if whoever is doing it is good and experienced. you can do it yourself too. and its a lot quicker. but i think plucking hurts less.

Really? lol What Chinese movies?

My mother's friend (who is Chinese, lol) did it to my mother and my half sister.. Not just the eyebrows, but around the face as well.. Well I heard it stung a little at first but then aftewards the pain sort of goes away and it's a lot better than waxing/tweezing anyway.

Actually, isn't it where you get like two pieces of string (I'm not sure if it's 1 or 2 pieces of thread) and thread it together a certain way. Then you put the thread on your face and pit at the string and it grabs clumps of hair and yanks it out. You pull the ends of the string in a certain way, I believe in opposite directions, and it grabs the hair quickly and yea... Something like that. I saw my mom's friend doing it to her.

x_angawhomps... didnt say it was only indian... just only heard of indians doing it...

Just_Dream... kinda like what you said... one piece of thread you just tie it together so its one circle then twist it... and put it against the hair and pull one end open... ok that doesnt really explain it... it sounded better in my head...

I get threading done. It hurts a little, but you get used to it. It's especially good for your eyebrows, because you get a more precise shape than you would with waxing or plucking.

It's in quite a few ancient chinese movies... (the only one I can think of now is witness to a procecution) they use it instead of shaving the face (on guys and girls ) as well as eyebrows. I've heard it shapes your eyebrows better too, but i've never had it done so I wouldn't know.
