My school has uniforms. I really don't mind it. And its not like we where them all the time. We DO have days where we can wear our own clothes. And the uniform skirts are a blast, cause a girl can always look cute in them. Its like wearing a regular plaid skirt.

My school has uniforms, khaki or black non jean pants, work boots, a belt *no florescent colors* and the green polo shirt. I love it becuase it takes me 5 minutes toget ready in the morning, but then again it would be nice to be able to express ourselves. We don't get to wear skirts and we have a gym uniform as well. But that is becuase we are a technology school and we work in labs with heavy machinery. But I guess I am lucky becuase on Fridays we can wear ANY shirt we have that pertains to the school, like shirts that you buy at the dance or at prom. And once a month we have dress down days where you can wear whatever you want for a dollar.

at my middle school, we had to wear uniforms. but then they got rid of them because over 50% of our school was not wearing them. but at now i am in high school and i think that sometimes we need them. because some people dress really bad and stuff like that. _dry.gif but i don't think we should be people think that is take away from our freedom. rolleyes.gif

its alright. i'm used to it...my elementary schools had them and the high school i'm at has them too. they're not that bad. no decisions for what to wear in the morning and no judgements and what not and we do get our days when we can wear what we want.

hm. i was fortunate to not go to school where uniforms were required, but i had to write a paper on my stand on it. For an creative basis, it isn't fun because you can't express your 'individuality', however, you can express it in other ways than just how you dress AND you can express that when schools out and on weekends. Another point is that your parents save a LOT of money not having to buy new clothes so quickly and often because you wear uniforms. I do agree with having a free dress down day, that would be great. But if you look at it this way, as soon as you are done with school, you'll never have to wear a uniform again and you have the rest of your life to express yourself to everyone in the world! NOW that's great. tongue.gif

well i wore uniforms in middle school. it was pretty god cuz you save A LOT of money and people cant joke you about your clothes except your tie(but i wasnt worried about being joked about my clothes or anything). But uniforms has its cons, you get tired of it and when u want to go out to the mall or something like in a friday u'll have to go all the all home and change.

My school has uniforms. I've worn em all my life, so I'm used to it. It's not that bad... and we have a lot of down days throughout the year.

i think it would be great to have uniforms becaue nobody could make fun of someone else because of what they're wearing: they'd be insulting themelf! also my mom wouldn't yell at me to hurry up when i'm trying to decide what to wear.. cool.gif
currently though my school doesn't have uniforms.

you make the point that there is a good and a bad of school uniforms.
but i dont like school uniforms... my school doesnt have any.
we get to express ourselves with what we are wearing but we do have to follow the dress code--- like no other peircings other than on the ear, not too much makeup, no rude of offensive clothing or clothing that promote drugs sex alcohol, no stuff that are too revealing.... etc.

I think they are good as an equalizer. But its important to express individuality, the way we dress helps us find who we are and develop some style.
