my stepdad threw a glass of water at me... and he didn't miss... isn't that technically abuse?

How often does he abuse you ? IF he does crap to you every week, that's abusing .. if he does crap to you once in a while, then that's okay.

Isn't all hitting abuse? My teacher says, even hitting for discpline can be abusing. Learn to use words, not physical ability to teach your child a lesson.

eh... whenever i make him too mad or make my sister cry, i ususally get the crap beaten out of me... that's not discpline... that's messed up... it's not my fault she's a drama queen.. you can like tap her and she'll cry... it's not hard to make her cry lol (she's just 6 but still)

Yes, that is considered abuse. How can someone 'beating the crap out of you' on a regular basis not be abuse? There are laws against what your step dad is doing to you, you should report him. Take care and good luck

.... no, but seriously, i am sorry about your situation...thats pretty bad...you should tell another adult like a teacher or something about it....i remember when i was in elementary schol...this one girl's dad used to hang her up the ceiling with rope tied around her wrist..n whipped her..so her wrists would have all these marks...pretty horrible. |

actually he's not sober at all... he's usually trashed or high or somehow really messed up... he's pretty twisted... he strapped himself up to the novacaine machine and turned it up on high and zoned out for a while... how sick is that??
and it's not a daily basis... i pretty much avoid him so it's not that often... that's why i'm usually on the computer... i feel safer... |

Like others said, you should DEFINTELY tell someone. He's hurting you physically, maybe even mentally! And it's not right... that's child abuse. Don't take that kind of bs from him! o gosh..my dad did that at me too..but instead it hit me..but i dont think u can do anything about it...once when my family had a problem like this and the police came, they said its not abuse b/c we r still minors and thats how our parents r making us listen to them...im not sure but they said something like that...and i hope u feel better...i understand what ur going through..i went through the same thing as you..
