Protests, I love to stand for what i belive do you Options

hi i am a very forward person who likes to stand for what i believe in.
I am inspired by the suffragettes and I think they are amazing I hope to be like one of their leaders when I grow up however were I live people are very discrete I wondered if there are any sites were you can stand for your rights or beliefs and join local protests???
If anyone has any information I would love to hear from them and just chatting will be great if you are unable to help me. Thanks
