newbie help, tags, look and feel, i'm an idiot, etc. Options

Hi everyone! First of all, thanks for taking the time to even consider helping me.

Ok, so I just recently started using xanga premium, but I didn't really just want to stick with one of the skins they offer.

my xanga is http://www.xanga.com/skin.asp?user=gladandyoung

(I am using one of the user submitted skins, but I wanted to customize it)

but you'll notice that the three links in the top right don't work right...

the script I have for them is:

I know it's terribly messed up, but could someone tell me what to do to fix it?

Also, when I want to get back to my homepage, like to edit or submit a new post, I have to run around and look for a link (that I usually can't remember) and it takes me back to what my xanga USED to look like.

I want to be able to do everything basically from my front page when I am logged in.

Can anyone suggest anything please?!
