apperance of text & links, claf Options

i`ve been having a serious problem lately while making layout. When i put the color for the words+links in my html it wont show unless i put the hex codes in the text fields under apperance of text & links

for example. in my html i`ll assign the links to be orange, and in the apperance of text & links field i make them blue. xanguh always reads the apperance of text & links part over the html. UmmMm.. here`s the code. can you help me find the mistake? Please Help
